BUCHAREST, July 17 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and events to watch which may affect Romanian financial markets on Friday.

DEBT TENDER

Romania sold a planned 300 million lei ($73.89 million) worth of November 2018 treasury bonds on Thursday, with the average accepted yield at 2.27 percent, central bank data showed.

CEE MARKETS

Poland's and Hungary's currencies and 10-year government bonds hit six-week highs on Thursday after the Greek parliament voted through a rigorous austerity plan to keep its ailing economy in the euro zone.

MAIZE

Consultancy Strategie Grains lowered its outlook for this year's maize harvest in the European Union on Thursday and warned it could make steeper cuts as dry and hot weather stresses crops in France and other major producing countries.

But maize in eastern EU producers Bulgaria and Romania was in better shape after rain last month, it said.
