Want to live like Jackie Collins? Millionaire author's prized artworks, jaw-dropping jewels and bespoke gold Jaguar are set to fetch $3MILLION at auction

Jackie Collins was as well known for her glittering lifestyle as her perennially popular bonkbuster. 

Now fans will have the chance to own a piece of her Hollywood story.

Artwork, jewellery and exotic treasures from the author's Beverly Hills home will go under the hammer as part of a $3million sale with Bonhams auction house next week.

It offers an insight into Jackie's lavish Hollywood lifestyle, which inspired the vivacious female characters in her 32 bestselling novels.

In 2015, just before her death from breast cancer at the age of 77, Jackie instructed her three daughters, Tiffany, Rory and Tracy, to sort through her possessions, choose what they wanted – and sell the rest. 

The late star's bespoke metallic gold Jaguar, which is expected to fetch $20,000 (£15,000), would be perfect for cruising through the Californian sunshine with the glamour of its previous owner.  

While jewels, including a stunning six carat diamond ring valued between $100,000 (£77,000) and $150,000 (£115,000), would bring sparkle to any outfit.

A beautiful diamond, emerald, stone and platinum necklace has been valued at more than $40,000 (£38,000) and a matching pair of earrings at between $8,000 (£6,000) and $12,000 (£9,200).   

The British-born author also had an extensive art collection which is expected to be snapped up by bidders, including several works by the much-loved English painter, Beryl Cook and a collection of bronze statues.

Some statement pieces from the late star's iconic wardrobe will also be available and a portion of all proceeds from the auction will be donated to support the empowerment of young women in the arts and education.

The 1,000-lot estate, called 'Jackie Collins: A Life in Chapters', will go under the hammer on May 16 and 17 in Los Angeles.

'Jackie Collins lived the lifestyle about which she wrote, and the sale will provide an exclusive insight into the real woman behind her unforgettable characters.

'Her books were loved by millions of readers worldwide. This is their chance to own a piece of the magic.'
