EastEnders star Lacey Turner gets huge elephant tattoo on her spine... and shares the painful process on social media

She's a fan of tattoos and already has a lower back inking and an etching on her thigh.

And Lacey Turner has now had a huge elephant tattooed on her spine following a long session with her tattooist at Aggys Ink in Hornsey, north London, over the weekend.

The EastEnders actress, 29, took to her Instagram account on Monday to share a photograph of her sitting in the tattoo chair while her artist worked on the animal inking.

Look lovely in an embellished dress like Lacey Turner

Lacey Turner posed for a photo on Instagram this week to show off her new ink, but we were more excited about her dress.

The piece boasted a low slung back that showed off her toned torso and we loved the glamorous all over embellishment. It had a distinct vintage feel to it and the long length and tiered finish added even more of a ladylike vibe.

The dress comes from Asos but is no longer available. Instead, click right to snap up the current collection at the e-tailer.

She accompanied the shot with the caption: 'She's the best @aggyink (sic).'

The brunette beauty then added another photo of her in a low-back dress, which shows all of her tattoos clearly, and wrote: '@aggyink 'd up (sic)'.

It's not known whether Lacey just got the elephant etching or whether she also had the Hamsa tattoo, which symbolises the 'hand of God', above the elephant and two ornate birds, which represents freedom, carved into her flesh during the same session.

Ouch: Lacey shared a picture of the painful process, accompanying the shot with the caption, 'She's the best @aggyink (sic).'

Lacey's new tattoos come just a few months after her longtime partner Matt Kay - who she has been dating since her teens - popped the question during a trip to Venice.

She told OK! magazine: 'I was sobbing after Matt proposed - it was such a shock. We stayed up until about 3am as it was such a big adrenaline rush. We were so excited, ringing around all our friends and family.'

And, although they're yet to tie the knot, the soap star - who has two dogs with her partner - has admitted she's ready for motherhood and would like four children.

She said at the time: 'I'm ready for motherhood and I want four children - Matt wants three. We need something a bit more exciting in our lives!'

Lacey started dating Matt in 2006, when she was 18, but despite instantly falling for the barber shop owner she admitted they were taking their relationship one day at a time.

'He's practically perfect. I'm really happy. We are very similar - we both like staying in and watching TV and films,' she told the News of the World.

'We are really happy but we are taking it slow. We are still so young - we haven't really thought much about the future.'
