Michael Moore has been secretly working on a Donald Trump documentary called Fahrenheit 11/9, which plays on the title of his seminal 2004 film while marking the day Trump became president-elect.
Hollywood heavyweights Harvey and Bob Weinstein announced Tuesday that they have already secured worldwide rights to the film before it's even finished.
This is the first time Moore and Harvey Weinstein have worked together since the filmmaker's documentary Fahrenheit 9/11, which was an unflattering look at George W. Bush released in 2004 to both critical and box office acclaim.

Moore, who has been working on the film for months, promises the new documentary will be explosive.
'No matter what you throw at him, it hasn’t worked,' Moore said of Trump in a statement.
'No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. That all ends with this movie.'
Both he and Harvey Weinstein are hyping up the film, saying it will 'present a story line unlike any that is currently being told', before they shop it at Cannes, which officially kicks off on Wednesday.
After the announcement on Tuesday, Moore tweeted that his new film would 'get us out of this mess'
Weinstein issued a statement Tuesday marking the importance of bringing Moore to a mass audience after his remarkable political predictions

Against all odds, the filmmaker predicted Trump would secure the Republican nomination before going on to detail why the real estate tycoon would win the 2016 presidential elections in a blog post he published in July.
Four months later, Moore's post went viral, and the filmmaker has continued doling out his vision of things to come, predicting just last month that Trump will be impeached in his second term.
'There is no greater part of what we can do right now than to have the power to bring Michael Moore to a mass audience,' said Harvey Weinstein in a statement provided to the Hollywood Reporter.

Weinstein said he intended the new film to match the success of Fahrenheit 9/11, which is credited with being the highest grossing documentary film of all time.
The film, named after the Ray Bradbury book Fahrenheit 451, picked up the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2004.
The filmmaker also slapped together a documentary about Trump's possible win in October 2016, titled Michael Moore in Trumpland.
