Love in the air? The Leftovers star Margaret Qualley, 22, rumored to be dating Beasts Of No Nation director Cary Fukunaga, 39

A new rumor has hit the scene that actress Margaret Qualley of The Leftovers fame has started dating Cary Fukunaga, director of Beasts Of No Nation.

The story emerged via Us Weekly this Wednesday, though the magazine didn't receive confirmation from either person's representative - Us couldn't reach Margaret's and Cary's 'told Us they don’t comment on his personal life.'

At 22 years old, Margaret is 17 years younger than Cary, who directed all eight episodes of the first season of HBO's True Detective, winning an Emmy for one.

Cary's new gig is Maniac, a comedic show starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill and adapted by writer Patrick Somerville from a three-year-old Norwegian TV series.

As Deadline reported this January, Cary will direct all 10 episodes of the inaugural season of this Netflix venture, which is slated to start filming in August.

Meanwhile, Margaret stars as Mia Sutton in the forthcoming Netflix film Death Note, a live action adaptation of a manga series that originally ran from 2003 to 2006.

Lakeith Stanfield, Willem Dafoe, Shea Whigham, Nat Wolff, Masi Oka and Michael Shamus Wiles also star in the movie, which Netflix will be releasing on August 25.

She's also starring opposite Anthony Mackie in Io, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi film in which she plays a teenager torn between staying on a desolate Earth or fleeing to new horizons with the remainder of her species, per IMDb.

Danny Huston will also be in this movie, which has been directed by Jonathan Halpert and which according to IMDb is scheduled for release sometime this year.

The critically acclaimed HBO season is currently on its third season, which began airing this April 16 and which will be the series' last, broadcasting its finale June 4.

Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof co-created The Leftovers with Tom Perrotta, who'd also written the 2011 novel of the same name on which the TV show's been based.
