Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell's final words revealed

The last words of Soundgarden suicide victim Chris Cornell were revealed tonight as sources disclosed he died within 60 minutes of leaving a concert stage. Cornell was said to have behaved 'absolutely normally' spending several minutes with fans and warmly greeting them. The 52-year-old told fans 'I love you' as he was escorted from the front of the Motor City's Fox Theatre from a door near the main box office. He wished them luck, posed for selfie photographs and told some he would see them in Columbus, Ohio - where his band were due to perform Friday night. Still clothed in his performance t-shirt and jeans, he emerged from the Fox Theater 25 minutes after coming off stage at around 11pm with band mates including co-founder Kim Thayll. It was around 11.25pm that Soundgarden were escorted out of the Fox Theater after their sell out concert. The guards, who were dressed in blue, accompanied the band to the hotel and they arrived within minutes. Cornell went to his room and shortly after wards his wife raised the alarm. Security forced his hotel room door open after she became concerned about his safety. Cornell was found dead shortly after midnight.

Police want to appeal the decision to dismiss Kelly Landry's AVO against her husband Anthony Bell with the TV star's supporters slammed the ruling as setting 'a terrible precedent' for other women. A magistrate on Thursday dismissed an interim apprehended violence order against the former Getaway star's estranged celebrity accountant husband. Magistrate Robert Williams found there was no need for an AVO because he saw little to no chance of the millionaire financier being violent to Ms Landry in the future. Kay Schubach, a domestic violence campaigner who is one of Ms Landry's top supporters, said: 'It's a terrible precedent and a very dangerous decision'. Ms Schubach said police prosecutors were 'keen' for an appeal by the Director of Public Prosecutions. 'They believe it was an erroneous decision and that there are many grounds for an appeal,' she said. A New South Wales police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the agency was 'reviewing the decision'.

Sheikh, rattle and roll! Moment Saudi trio topple from the back of a truck as it suddenly speeds off

Five passengers wearing traditional Saudi Arabian dress, above, were standing on the back of a white pickup truck on a dusty road, thought to be in Yemen, before being taken by surprise at the vehicle's acceleration. When the vehicle jolted into life and began to speed up the road, a toppling trio were sent flying off their precarious perch and onto the road. In the short clip, posted to Twitter, the three men are seen falling from the truck with their arms flailing. One man's kaffiyeh even comes loose from the jolt of the vehicle, and whimsically floats through the air to follow him on his path off the end of the platform.

Incredible footage shows a man eating a watermelon in a matter of seconds during an eating contest. The footage was posted online on May 16 to social media.

Fox Sports Southwest's Emily Jones was reporting during a live broadcast of the Rangers vs Phillies game Wednesday night in Arlington when the former President strolled by. Drink in hand, he popped his head in to greet the reporter and anyone watching live from their homes.

Hurricane plane used in Second World War photographed

Photographer John Dibbs has spent travelling across the globe to photograph the final remaining Hurricane fighter planes used to defeat the Germans in the Second World War. The Hawker Hurricane was seen as the poor relation to the Spitfire in the Second World War but these stunning photographs reveal just how majestic it was in full flight. A total of 14,583 Hurricanes were made during the Second World War but, because of the high casualty toll and the fact most were scrapped, only 13 airworthy ones exist today. The amazing images include shots of a Hurricane painted in the colours of No 303 'Polish' Sqn (inset) and a Hurricane AE 977 patrolling the White Cliffs of Dover (right).

KaBOOM! Earth-shuddering moment giant bunker crashes to the ground after explosions tear defunct coal-fired power plant in two 

Kingsnorth Power Station in Hoo, Kent, was decommissioned in 2012, but yesterday a dramatic demolition saw the final demise of two of its bunkers. In the short clip, above, posted to Twitter, a line of carefully positioned explosives are detonated one by one along the length of the building. The devastating result is that an entire section of the bunker shifts forward and teeters in place for a few breath-taking moments before toppling to the ground. In the video, a startled pigeon only just manages to escape the all-consuming cloud of dust and rubble that billowed from the site at the moment of impact.
