Terri Neil, 35, from Billericay, Essex, knew there was something wrong when she read a post on Facebook written by her long-term best friend Louisa - who she had known since school. Terri, pictured right, sent texts and messages to her friend and even left phone messages to see if she had done anything wrong. She said as a result of being ghosted, she has lost her best friend of 30 years - someone she had considered like a sister. Terri revealed: 'It was unusual, but we were such good friends I thought whatever the problem was, she’d be over it in a few days. Yet, as the days passed, I kept texting, sending messages and even called several times, but each message went unanswered and each phone call went to voicemail. It went on for weeks. I texted, saying: “I miss you and I miss our friendship”, but I was ignored. I was so worried I’d done something wrong, but I had no idea what.’
'I wanted to kill them, you were supposed to kill me': Drug-crazed driver who plowed into pedestrians on the sidewalk in Times Square - killing one and injuring 22 - tells cops he planned a murder-suicide spree
Drug-crazed driver Richard Rojas plowed through pedestrians in New York City’s iconic Times Square at 11.55am on Thursday, killing one woman and injuring 22 others. After smashing his maroon Honda sedan in to a pole (bottom right), Rojas (left) tried to flee the scene. The 26-year-old US Navy veteran was seen running across the road with his arms flailing. He was brought to the ground by a Planet Hollywood bouncer before being arrested by NYPD officers (top right) at the scene. Once in their custody, he told them how he wanted to kill all the pedestrians and then be shot himself by police. Though initial tests show he was not drunk at the time, sources say the man, who is from the Bronx, had been smoking synthetic marijuana, otherwise known as K2, before the crash.

THE BREXIT ELECTION: BRITAIN GOES TO THE POLLS
PM vows to make 'hard choices' to forge a 'fairer' Britain as Tory manifesto raids wealthy pensioners to help 'working families', vows to slash immigration and sets out red lines for Brexit battle
Contrasting her approach with Labour's unfunded spending splurge, the Prime Minister said she would not shy away from making hard choices to make the country a 'great meritocracy'. 'It will not be easy,' she warned. Launching the Conservative plans backed by the slogan 'forward together', Mrs May said in future no elderly people with wealth of less than £100,000 would have to pay for care. There will also be no need to sell properties to fund care during people's lifetimes, with charges taken out of estates after death. Significantly more funding will be pumped into the NHS. But in order to sustain the system and ensure 'fairness' for the younger generation hundreds of thousands of elderly who receive care at home will have to contribute to the costs in future. In a seismic shift away from the David Cameron years, the 'triple lock' on state pensions - which means they rise by the highest of average earnings, inflation or 2.5 per cent - will be scrapped after experts warned the spiralling bill threatens to bankrupt the country.

May unveils social care plans meaning no one has to sell their home but many WILL pay more
Theresa May has unveiled her social care revolution that will mean no-one has to sell their home before they die. But the plans will see thousands paying more for their care into old age in future. The Conservative manifesto guarantees everyone can protect up to £100,000 to pass on after their death - more than four times the current threshold. This does include for the first time the family home meaning in some cases property will have to be sold after death to cover charges.
Judge jails drug addict father-of-25 and his girlfriend for 11 years each for bid to cover up their baby's torture by staging her death on a bus
Jeffrey Wiltshire and Rosalin Baker, of east London, concocted a 'devious' plan to get away with the horrific abuse of 16-week-old Imani which culminated in her death in September last year. CCTV captured former music producer Wiltshire kissing Baker goodbye and giving her a 'thumbs up' hand gesture as she hopped on the busy bus with her already-dead baby. Baker claimed Wiltshire had caused their child's horrific injuries, something he denied. The pair were acquitted of murder but found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child.

Michael, left, claims he was told he would be looked after for life by his father, right with his wife Angela. But his father says the Afghanistan veteran acted as though the win was a bottomless pit of money. James Beedle, right, Michael's civil partner, is joining his partner in the dispute.

'Cornered by police, he reached for his guns – then realised his fatal mistake': Ian Brady reveals how the brother-in-law he and Myra Hindley recruited for their last sickening murder FINALLY led to his capture
The Moors Murderers, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley (left), never expected to be caught. Brady (top right) was always spoiling for a fight and carried a knife with him at all times. He loved to walk around with a revolver under his waistcoat and became obsessed with firearms. After cold-heartedly slaughtering four young people in Manchester and burying each of them in peat graves on Saddleworth Moor, they felt omnipotent. However, the terrible fact is that, for a while after the murder of Lesley Ann Downey, their fourth victim, Brady and Hindley became bored with their crimes. The couple began seeing more of Hindley’s sister, Maureen, and her husband, a layabout with a police record named David Smith (together bottom right). Brady had long had a hankering to bring them into their activities. One night, after picking Edward Evans (inset) up outside a nightclub, Hindley went to fetch Smith. When Hindley and Smith arrived, Brady let them in. Then he went back to the living room and walked behind the settee that Evans was sitting on and picked up an axe.

A medical examiner confirmed that the 52-year-old rocker, who was found dead on his bathroom floor with 'a band around his neck' early Thursday morning, had committed suicide. Chris's wife Vicky says he showed no signs he was feeling suicidal or even depressed when she spoke to him, before during soundcheck before, and after the show, the night he died, sources said. She had tried reaching him again, early Thursday morning but became concerned when he wasn't answering his phone. At that point, she called a family friend and asked them to check on him. That friend had to force his way into Cornell's hotel room, in Detroit's MGM Grand, where they found him dead. The singer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The WWII town that went underground: Labyrinth of tunnels where villagers built shops, canteens and a CONCERT HALL as they sheltered from the Blitz
Ramsgate residents adopted a completely subterranean life at the height of the Second World War, after 500 Nazi bombs were dropped on the town in just five minutes on August 24, 1940, destroying their homes and businesses. Some 300 families took to living in the tunnels on a permanent basis. Life underground became their norm with street signs, canteens, shops and other services operating in the tunnels. The elaborate labyrinth also hosted concerts and there was even an underground hospital.

Crouching tiger, hidden... tiger! Can YOU spot the two 10ft big cats hiding in plain sight in a safari park?
A safari park is challenging viewers to spot the 10ft-long, 500lb tigers 'hiding' in a recent snap of their enclosure. Blair Drummond Safari Park, near Stirling, says Genghis, 19, and Bella, 14, (inset) are not quite as easy to pick out as their immense size would suggest. The Amur tigers' markings are designed to provide camouflage in situations of light and shade in the wild. Genghis is pretty easy to spot but the safari park has had to help many of its followers on social media pick out Bella.
WEDDING OF THE YEAR: PIPPA TO TIE THE KNOT
STEPHEN GLOVER: Yes, they're in love but this oh-so lavish wedding won't endear Pippa to the public - or help the Royals
There is little in life more uplifting to the heart than the sight of Love's Young Dream. So it is with the wedding on Saturday between Pippa Middleton, younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, and James Matthews. And yet, reading the newspapers over the past few days, it has been impossible not to register some qualms about the extreme lavishness of the nuptials. Whether they like it or not - and there is strong evidence that they do - Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are closely associated with the Royal Family. So there is a risk that an extravaganza that might seem more in keeping with a Russian oligarch who has more money than taste will end up damaging the royal brand.
A sharp haircut for the best man! Spencer Matthews emerges from swanky London salon with a new look as he prepares for his duties at his big brother's wedding to Pippa
The former Made In Chelsea star, whose brother James will marry Pippa Middleton, inset, on Saturday at the society wedding of the year, popped into a top London salon to get a much-needed haircut and beard trim. Spencer looked slightly unkempt upon entering the salon, left, and displayed a bushy, untamed beard. However, he sported a clean shaven look after leaving the A-list-approved hairdressers hours later.

Rosehall Estate in Lairg, Scotland, was once the secret bolt hole for the legendary fashion designer (inset) and her lover the Earl of Grosvenor during their whirlwind affair in the 1920s. The ramshackle mansion was originally on the market for £3 million, but after failing to sell for two years it is now being offered with a price cut of almost 17 per cent. It boasts 12-bedrooms, has planning permission to be converted into a hotel, and many of the rooms (bottom left) were designed by Chanel and modelled on her own Parisian apartment. While recovering from an illness, Winston Churchill also stayed on the estate in 1928. The mansion also comes with 550 acres of land, including a loch (bottom right) that can be stocked for fishing, acres of gardens and hunting rights.
Swarm of 40 armed police storm a house ending a two-day siege with a man who 'threw a petrol bomb at officers'
Around 40 police officers used armadillo shields to protect them from further attacks as they edged closer to the address in Burnopfield, County Durham, at around 11.30am today. The entire street was evacuated and it took officers, dressed in riot gear, around ten minutes to smash their way through the door with battering rams after a near 24-hour stand-off. When they eventually gained access the man fled to the loft and special extendable ladders were rushed to the scene. Durham Constabulary have now confirmed that they have arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of threats to kill and criminal damage.

'Obscene' 100-ton pile of asbestos, human waste and rubble is fly-tipped in a beautiful country park by 'utter scum'
The enormous mound of rubble (left and bottom right) dumped close to Wat Tyler Country Park near Basildon, Essex, will cost the taxpayer more than £20,000 to remove. Council workers (top right) are currently trawling through the 300ft-long mass of waste to find traces of those responsible before the clean-up can begin. Kevin Blake, deputy leader of Basildon Council, said: 'Only complete and utter scum would do something like this. Not only is it an obscene thing to do but it's putting lives at risk because there is disturbed asbestos among the rubble. What if a child came into contact with it?' Wat Tyler Country Park (inset) is known for its 125 acres of country walks and wildlife.

The underground Nazi 'city' of tunnels and bunkers built by Dutch slaves for 3,300 SS soldiers who were treated to saunas under The Hague
An incredible set of photographs have revealed an underground Nazi city which was built under The Hague to house 3,300 SS soldiers. The subterranean facility was built in 1942 in a fishing village called Scheveningen when some 135,000 inhabitants had to leave their homes when the Nazis declared it a restricted area. Builders got to work on the bunker complex, which included tunnels (inset and right), living quarters, store rooms and even saunas on the coastline near the Dutch city (seen in the background, left) and ran deep under the city itself.
