Johnny Depp reveals he once 'hooked up' with a woman in the 'enclosed trunk of a car' as he returns to dating scene after Amber Heard split

Johnny Depp has never been one to offer an ordinary answer.

During a sit-down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, the 53-year-old actor was asked where the strangest place was that he has ever hooked up with a woman.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean vet, who has reportedly recently started dating again following his bitter marriage split from Amber Heard, said: 'Wow. A car trunk. The trunk of a car. Enclosed.'

Ellen was skeptical about his reply.

She said: 'You're not being honest. I would ask you more but you won't answer them honestly. You're no good at this game.'

Although the 59-year-old presenter doubted Johnny's responses, she continued to grill him about his private life. She asked: 'Who was your first celebrity crush?'

And the tattooed-hunk revealed 96-year-old actress Carol Channing stole his heart at a young age.

But the star - who split from Heard last year after 15 months of marriage - has admitted the best person he has ever kissed is his Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales co-star Javier Bardem and his wife Penelope Cruz, who has also done a Pirates movie.

When asked about the preferred area of his body, he joked: 'Back there [back of the head] for the moment. I might get a little tinge of excitement. My shoes are my favourite part of my body. I have had them surgically put on.'

But the star isn't a big fan of his bottom, and he has admitted he doesn't necessarily 'like' his derriere but 'accepts' the area.

He also talked about his daughter Lily-Rose, who turns 18 later this month.

And like any dad, Depp is in disbelief his little girl is all grown up.

'She's a woman...sort of,' he said when discussing his daughter who hits the landmark birthday on May 27, adding, 'Yeah, that freaks a dad out.'

Lily, who is an actress and model in her own right, has been taking the Cannes Film Festival by storm with a series of red carpet appearances.  

Johnny heaped praise upon his daughter, who's star has continued to rise, 'She's blowing up, it's incredible. It happened very quickly. She handles it so well and she's so low to the ground and very cool about it.'

His blonde daughter, who's mother is actress Vanessa Paradis, has appeared in four films already at her young age and has been announced as part of Kevin Smith's new movie Moose Jaws. 

She has also modeled for Chanel like her famous French mother.

He also has a son Jack, who is 15, and Johnny tells Ellen, 'He plays guitar, drums and he's a very good artist.'

That prompted the talk show host to remind Depp on Thursday's episode that he promised to make her a painting last time he was on the show, but never delivered.  

Johnny then had a stage hand come on to set and present the talk show host with a painting of an elephant, which he said he made the night before and was 'still wet.'
