  • At least 100 of Pippa and James's nearest and dearest will descend on Saturday for the reception
  • They include oak fittings, porcelain basins, spot lighting and full-length mirrors  and have vacuum flushes
  • It comes as she and fiance James Matthews hired a £100,000 glass marquee for the Berkshire reception

With less than 24 hours to go until Pippa Middleton and James Matthews say 'I do' in the society wedding of the year, their families descended on St Mark's church for a wedding rehearsal.

The bride's parents, Carole and Michael, were joined by their son James at the church on Friday afternoon.

The Middletons were flanked by the Matthews clan - including best man and Made In Chelsea lothario Spencer - at the venue.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte's Spanish nanny, Maria Borrallo, was also seen arriving as the wedding party sheltered under umbrellas when the heavens opened - weather that is forecast to last all weekend. Prince George will act as page boy and Charlotte as a flower girl but neither the youngsters - nor their parents - appeared to be in attendance at the run-through.

Last minute preparations were also taking place at the Middletons' family estate in Berkshire, which now houses a vast 140ft glass marquee shipped in for the reception.

Exterior shots revealed spectacular cherry blossom trees inside Pippa's 'crystal palace', as well as stage lighting rigged to the ceiling.

Whilst it hasn't been confirmed who will be providing the blooms for Pippa's big day, Berkshire-based Green Parlour is an obvious choice considering they've been the Middleton's family florist for years.

Run by Emma Sampson, Green Parlour apparently supplied the Middleton family with flowers for four years prior to preparing the blooms for the Royal Wedding.

Whilst prices for wedding flowers are totally bespoke, bouquets on her website are reasonably priced between £35-£75.

Bridebook founder Hamish Shephard, who has organised many society weddings, predicts Pippa's flowers could set her back £16,000.

Hamish said: Marquees always require a lot more floristry and decoration than a venue, so luxury florists will have their work cut out. On top of this, the wedding florist will include the flowers for the church, plus the bouquet and more.

'With the wedding hosted in the Middletons' rustic garden, with wild flower meadows and in-bloom purple rhododendrons, expect tall overflowing centrepieces fusing the marquee with the garden. Elaborate table-centres can cost £300 each alone, so with 35 round tables for the guests, the cost can easily stack up.'

Emma, who is in her early thirties, said she had been called by the Duchess of Cambridge and asked to help with the wedding. She told the BBC at the time: 'Catherine asked us herself and it was wonderful, I mean, what an honour to be asked to do such a fantastic event and use some amazing flowers hopefully as well.'

On her website, Emma writes: 'Flowers have been a huge part of my life since I was at school. Before opening Green Parlour Florist I picked up a degree in fine art, gave flowers up and began working as a manager for Gap and French Connection, but flowers were always at the back of my mind.

'In 2008 with the support of Paul and Margaret, we opened the doors to Green Parlour Florist in Reading and I’ve been lucky enough to do what I love ever since. We’ve grown employing six people who are as obsessed with flowers as us.

'We’ve worked with amazing people during this time most notably receiving a call from HRH The Duchess of Cambridge to ask if we’d kindly help with the flowers for the royal wedding.'

MailOnline has contacted Green Parlour Flowers and is awaiting a response.

It's being touted as the society event of the year so it's hardly surprising that the church grounds surrounding Pippa Middleton's wedding venue went into total lockdown on Friday.

Metal barriers - thought to be in place for Pippa and James's big day tomorrow - were erected around the church as security arrived on the scene just 24 hours before the couple will say their vows at St Mark's Church in Bucklebury, Berkshire.

The last-minute preparations come after workmen appeared to be making some last-minute improvements to the church and gardens where Pippa and James will tie the knot.

The installation of the barriers comes after a fleet of Bentley Bentayga 4x4 were delivered to Englefield House earlier this week, which could well be the cars that will ferry guests from the church to the Middleton family home a few miles away for the evening reception.

A gardener was seen mowing the lawns for the second time this week, whilst workers were spotted cleaning and fixing the church's sign  - preparations that are thought to be taking place ahead of the society wedding of the year.

With just days to go until their big day, Pippa Middleton and her fiance James Matthews have been spotted out and about making some final preparations.

Pippa Middleton was seen driving through the rain with her mother Carole this week near to St Mark's Church in Bucklebury, Berkshire, where the wedding will take place on Saturday.

The Mail today revealed that the wedding with have a Scottish theme. Pippa’s links to God’s Country are a little unclear – although she did go to Edinburgh University.

Groom James Matthews, however, is better connected and it would seem this has driven the plan for the nuptials.

James’s father, David, a former mechanic who made a fortune through the car trade, owns a castle and 10,000-acre estate 15 miles from Loch Ness in the Highlands.

His acquisition of the property in 2008 also bought him the courtesy title of the Laird of Glen Affric, which will be inherited by his eldest son, hedge fund boss James. That would make Pippa Lady Glen Affric one day.

Friends say Pippa and her fiance have a deep love of Scotland and often spend time at the Matthews family estate, where they hold annual shooting parties at the Glen Affric Lodge.

As a result the 300 guests at the wedding are set to enjoy a wealth of food sourced from the region around Glen Affric, including haggis canapés and lamb, all washed down with local whisky.

Canny local mums cash in on Pippa fever!

Some people might not be happy to find the peace and quiet of their village disturbed by an influx of the world's media.

But some enterprising mothers in Englefield have turned the spotlight on the area into an opportunity by selling leftover tea and biscuits from their PTA meeting to visiting reporters.

They managed to make a respectable £25 for the Englefield primary school's PTA.

Several mothers even ended up being interviewed by reporters from NBC.

Guests arriving for the evening do are being told to congregate at the village hall, where they will be security checked before being taken up to the main house in a luxury car, one source revealed.

Asked for details about the fleet of cars being supplied to the wedding, Jaguar Land Rover declined to comment.

Yesterday, several dozen vans and lorries arrived at the Middleton family home, as well as the nearby village of Englefield, where the ceremony will take place. Among them was a van from Jones Hire, a premier catering rental company, providing tableware, furniture and kitchen equipment for ‘prestigious’ events.

It is understood that a firm which has worked with Prince Harry, Boultbee Flight Academy, will be organising Pippa’s vintage aircraft fly-past, which will feature two Spitfires, and is estimated to be costing around £20,000.

After attending a final dress fitting last week, it appears that the 33-year-old's wedding dress was safely hand delivered to her Chelsea home on Tuesday morning.

The bag, which was zipped up to conceal the contents from any prying eyes, appeared to be rather slim-fitting and simple in style and free from fussy layers and tulle.

Sources have also hinted Pippa plans to wear her hair in an up-do.

It has also been reported that she has instructed members of the congregation to bring a second outfit for the evening reception.

Get set for summer in a broderie anglasie blouse by Kate Spade

The countdown to the wedding of the year is on.

We're all speculating about who has made Pippa Middleton's bridal gown and what it will be like. And then of course there's mother of the bride Carole and the Duchess of Cambridge, who will no doubt be the best dressed guest. We can't wait!

But for now let's focus on the outfit Pippa wore for a spot of pre-wedding pampering. She looked effortlessly chic in a scalloped blazer by Kate Spade, which she teamed with this broderie anglaise top by the same brand, skinny jeans, Jemima Vine flats and a new Dolce & Gabbana bag.

Nothing says summer quite like broderie anglaise and we love the sleeveless cut and tiered design of this little black top. The stand collar and tassel ties are nice touches too!

The good news is it's still available to buy, so click (right) to add it to your basket. Or browse the best of the rest in our edit below, starting from just £28 at New Look.

When the Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot with Prince William in April 2011, she changed into a second wedding gown for the evening celebrations at Buckingham Palace - so Pippa may well be planning on a change of outfit herself.

Although there will be 100 or so guests at St Mark's Church in the nearby village of Englefield for the ceremony, more than 300 are expected back at Middleton manor to dance the night away.

In addition to beauty treatments, Pippa has been hitting the gym hard and has joined Grace Belgravia, an exclusive club that promises to create the perfect 'Hollywood' pins - at a cost of £55,000 for a lifetime membership.

The women-only Knightsbridge club and spa is home to the Capri Palace Leg School, which uses a method of treatment involving mud packs, bandages, hot and cold water and stone massages pioneered by Italian anti-ageing guru Professor Francesco Canonaco.

Pippa, a former party planner, has decreed that her big day should have a ‘relaxed’ country wedding feel – but is leaving nothing to chance.

Sources have told the Mail that Pippa’s father is tearing his hair out at the complexity of the arrangements. ‘But he is hugely excited by everything, particularly in giving his youngest daughter away,’ they added.

Although the Middletons maintain the wedding is a private family event, the eyes of the world will be upon it as it is being attended by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry with his girlfriend, actress Meghan Markle.

Pippa’s niece and nephew will also take a starring role – Princess Charlotte, two, will be a bridesmaid while three-year-old Prince George will be a page boy.

A controlled media facility has been arranged to capture their arrival at church, while normally accessible public footpaths in the area are being closed.

Meanwhile Pippa's sister the Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed talking about the upcoming nuptials at The Queen's first annual garden party of the season.

Around 8,000 guests attended the Buckingham Palace event looking to catch a glimpse of the royals attending, including Prince Philip, Prince William, Princess Beatrice, the Earl of Wessex, Princess Anne, the Duke of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

Kate chatted to Andrew Bates and his wife, Janet, about her sister's wedding at the weekend - and revealed that while she was hugely looking forward to it, she was slightly nervous about how her children, Prince George, three, and two-year-old Princess Charlotte would behave as well.

Mr Bates, 55, from Coventry said: 'She said that they were all really looking forward to her sister's wedding at the weekend but she was a bit worried about how her children might behave.

'She said she was hopeful that they would be good but you never know at that age.'

PIPPA'S EYE-WATERING WEDDING IN NUMBERS

MARQUEE £100,000 - The  glass conservatory-style structure that she is having installed in the garden of her family home is for Saturday’s celebrations. The bespoke glass orangery was shipped from Belgium to her family home in Berkshire. The process is being overseen by Peppers Marquees, which holds the only royal warrant for supplying marquees to the Prince of Wales.

DRESS £10,000 - 'Giles Deacon is rumoured to be the designer of Pippa’s bespoke designer dress,' says Bridebook founder Hamish Shephard. 'Giles previously designed Abbey Clancy’s stunning wedding dress for her marriage to England footballer Peter Crouch which cost £10,000.'

WEDDING HAIR £300 - The Duchess of Cambridge's royal hairdresser  Amanda Cook Tucker was seen arriving at the home of the bride-to-be on Tuesday. It is predicted that she will style Pippa on her big day with her wedding price said to be £300.

CATERING £70,000 -  Experts from The Bride Book predict that top luxury London caterers will charge over £170 per guest for catering including all food, chefs and staffing, glassware and crockery hire, and linen hire.

A marquee wedding requires an extra level of staffing compared to a permanent venue, which will increase Pippa’s catering costs to around £200 per guest, and will comprise the largest cost of the wedding.

DRINKS £17,720 - 'We expect around 233 bottles of champagne alone will be drunk to keep the guests topped up during the drinks reception and speeches,' says Hamish. 'This champagne will cost around £9,320, on top of which will be fine wines for the wedding breakfast and open-bar cocktails for the evening.'

FLORISTRY £16,000 - Hamish says: 'Marquees always require a lot more floristry and decoration than a venue, so luxury florists will have their work cut out.

PHOTOGRAPHY £3,500 - 'Hiring one of the top wedding photographers, including a gorgeous album, will cost around £3,500. Dorset-based Millie Pilkington, the private wedding photographer for William and Kate’s wedding, is most likely to be the person behind the lens.'

VIDEOGRAPHY £4,000 - 'Without the world’s media filming every moment like her sister’s wedding, Pippa will likely have a videographer there to capture the day’s special moments. Luxury videographers have teams of cameramen to capture all angles, plus usually a drone or two.'

CAKE £2,600 - 'A stunningly-decorated cake from a top cake maker will start from £2,600 and need to be six-tiers to give a slice to each of the 350 guests. The cake-maker is thought to be luxury London-based Domino Purchas or local-Berkshire based top baker Rosalind Miller.'

STATIONARY £5,125 -'The wedding will require a number of stationery elements including save-the-dates, the invitation, the Order of Service, the menus, and the stamps! Invitations from a top stationer will cost around £11 each before the other items are included. Mount Street Printers are said to be the chosen stationer.'

GYM MEMBERSHIP £55,000- Pippa has been hitting the gym hard and has joined Grace Belgravia, an exclusive club that promises to create the perfect ‘Hollywood’ pins - at a cost of £55,000 for a lifetime membership.

FACIALS £100 - Pippa has been making trips to a spa in South Kensington offering such treatments as £100 sugar cane facials.

MUSIC £6,750 - 'From bell ringers and the organist and choirs in the church, to relaxed acoustic musicians for the drinks reception and a top wedding band and DJ for the party, music will be the centre of the entertainment. A top London 6-piece wedding band will cost over £4,250 with everyone else on top.'

WEDDING RINGS £19,900 -'Rumoured best man Spencer Matthews better not make the expensive mistake of forgetting the rings. With their wedding rings said to be from Cartier, a diamond encrusted wedding ring for Pippa will cost £15,500 whilst a platinum band for James would be £1,440.'

BRIDESMAIDS' OUTFITS £2,250 - 'Whilst the bridesmaid’s dress Pippa shone in at the Royal wedding cost over £2,000, the average cost of a designer bridesmaids dress is £750. The average number of bridesmaids a bride in the UK has is 3.4, so we are assuming Pippa will have 3 bridesmaids.'

CHARLOTTE AND GEORGE'S OUTFITS £1,698 - 'With Prince George and Princess Charlotte due to be centre stage as flower girls and page boys, Nicki Macfarlane, who provided the flower girl outfits for the Royal wedding, will likely be back on hand. A page boy outfit will cost around £226 each, and flower girl dresses £340.'

CHURCH FEES £456 - 'Pippa and James will need to pay the church their marriage fees, but whilst this is the most important part of the marriage, it has one of the smallest price tags.'

DECORATION AND PRODUCTION £6,000 -'For spectacular lighting and production throughout the grounds surrounding the marquee and inside the marquee itself, a top London agency will likely be taking on the job of adding the absolute wow-factor. From bar hire to amazing dance floors, production is key to transforming the blank-canvas of a marquee into something truly jaw-dropping.'

GROOMSWEAR £6,050 - 'Dashing groom-to-be James Matthews is likely to be wearing a bespoke tailor made tailcoat, waistcoat and trousers from one of London’s top Saville Row tailors. A bespoke tailcoat from a top tailor will cost around £4400 alone.'

MAKEUP UP TO £1,400 - 'No doubt a top team will be on hand to ensure Pippa and the whole bridal party will be looking absolutely radiant. Hannah Martin of Bobbi Brown, who also did Kate’s wedding makeup  for the Royal Wedding, is the top choice.

WEDDING FAVOURS £700 - 'These lovely little gifts for every wedding guest should not break the bank. We expect something low-key and personal, such as a small jar of local honey considering the wild flower meadows that fill the Middletons’ garden.'

LUXURY LOOS £4,000 - 'Don’t forget the toilets! With this marquee wedding the luxury toilets that will need to be on hand are unlikely to be the plastic boxes we are used to seeing at festivals. Imagine luxurious bathrooms with gorgeous soaps and fresh linen hand towels. For 350 guests, top end mobile toilets will cost £4000.'

VEIL £2,000 -'Celebrity milliner Stephen Jones is rumoured to be the designer of Pippa’s bespoke veil, which will doubtlessly have incredible attention to detail.'

ENTERTAINERS £1,500 -'Whilst guests taking photos is expected to not be allowed at the wedding, a photobooth will be an ideal opportunity to capture the guests at their best. Luxury children’s entertainers, like London’s based Sharky+George who did the Royal wedding, are expected to be on hand to give parents, like William and Kate, the night off.'

TOTAL ESTIMATED SPEND: £337,049

Uncle Gary is ready for the wedding of the year: Black sheep who was caught boasting about drugs and his royal connections poses in a picture of his smart new suit online ahead of Pippa's wedding

Rebecca English for the Daily Mail

He has been the family black sheep since being caught boasting about drugs and his royal connections.

But Gary Goldsmith, Carole Middleton’s brother, has confirmed he’s made the guest list for his niece Pippa’s wedding.

A photograph of him trying on a smart bespoke three-piece suit was posted on Instagram by his friend, designer Mark Powell, whose suits start at £1,700.

Mr Goldsmith, who also attended Kate and William’s wedding, said he was ‘hugely looking forward to the day’ but said he couldn’t discuss the wedding any further as it was a private family event.

However the Mail understands that while an olive branch has been extended by Pippa to her uncle, his wife of five years, Julie-Ann, has not been invited to the high-profile nuptials.

And his pretty, privately-educated daughter, Tallulah, Pippa’s cousin, who will accompany him as his ‘plus-one’, has been overlooked as a bridesmaid.

‘There had been some talk that she would be asked. She is a lovely girl and it seems a real shame she hasn’t,’ a source said.

Wealthy businessman Mr Goldsmith, younger brother of Pippa’s mother Carole, was forced to apologise to the family after he was caught in a tabloid sting in 2009 by the News of the World’s notorious ‘fake sheikh’.

He was filmed cutting cocaine and boasting about William and Kate at his crudely named Maison de Bang Bang villa in Ibiza.

He was later invited to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011 with his first wife and daughter, but will have only Tallulah, known as Lula, on his arm this time.

He said proudly of his 14-year-old offspring: ‘Lula is very excited – she is extremely family focused and looking forward to catching up with her cousins, especially George and Charlotte.

‘She is doing brilliantly at Stowe and is a straight ‘A’ student. I was on cloud nine after her parents’ evening recently when they told me how well she is doing and what a credit she is to us.’

In the recently-posted photograph by his friend, Mark Powell, who also dresses the likes of singer Paul Weller, actor Martin Freeman and sportsman Bradly Wiggins, the designer said: ‘Gary Goldsmith all set for the big wedding next weekend wearing his ready to wear suit bespoke waistcoat.’

A three-piece suit from Mark Powell London starts at £1,700 and takes six to eight weeks to make.

The groom can't bail out now! Pippa hires vintage aircraft including a SPITFIRE for a wedding flypast

Joseph Curtis For Mailonline

They’ve spared no expense on making their wedding a day to remember.

But Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are pulling out all the stops to entertain their guests at the Berkshire nuptials after booking a fly-by from a Spitfire.

The World War Two fighter will perform a vintage air display above the reception at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, following the ceremony at nearby St Mark’s Church.

Pippa’s parents Carole and Michael are organising the reception and are said to have apologised to neighbours about the ‘inconvenience’.

A source told The Sun: ‘The air display is a touch of class — it’s the sort of thing you’d expect for the royals themselves. It will be totally breathtaking.’
