She's an international superstar as well as a mother of three kids (two of them are twins).

So Julia Roberts is probably better than anyone to give close friend, ultra-celeb and soon-to-be father of twins George Clooney parenting tips.

While appearing on Ellen Friday, the 49-year-old darling explained parenting boils down to 'trial and error and a whole lot of tears' but that her Ocean's Eleven costar and wife Amal 'are a great couple and don't need advice.'

She described her friendship with the 56-year-old heartthrob as 'the goofiest pals ever.'

Then Julia explained that parenting is always a learning experience.

'You know, nobody's there at three o'clock in the morning when you're just going "What are we doing? Where did they come from?" she said.

The Runaway Bride actress finished by offering her vote of confidence for the power couple, telling Ellen that Amal and George 'are a great couple and they don't need advice from me or anybody else.'

While George is just starting his parenting journey, Julia's twins are growing up quick.

Hazel and Finn, who the Pretty Woman described as 'very different', celebrate their 13th birthday in November.

She and husband of 15 years Danny Moder also have a younger son, Henry, who is almost 10.

Showing off the sweetheart's 'Most Beautiful' People Magazine cover, the hostess asked Julia how it feels to grace the cover for the fifth time.

'It's sweet, but it's also embarrassing... and it's flattering but we could poll people's secret thoughts and there'd be a group of people who say "I don't get it,"' the star explained, 'But I have those days also.'

Eye opening: The Georgia-born starlet also talked about her recent trip to rural Africa with Bear Grylls, where they delivered vaccines in partnership with Red Nose Day

At the show, Julia, who kept things casual in an orange T-shirt, black jeans, black blazer and a simple pair of Ippolita earrings, also talked about her latest adventure with Red Nose Day.

The star just returned from an eye-opening mission to Africa with Bear Grylls where they delivered life saving vaccines to rural villages with the non-profit.

Though the actress admitted she initially signed up 'to impress' hubby Danny Moder with her journey, it was a 'life-changing experience.'

Ellen and Julia were joined by Red Nose Day founder, filmmaker Richard Curtis to talk a bit about their mission and play a fun game.

At the show, the Love Actually creator announced that donations made on rednoseday.org/ellen will be matched by partners the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Getting a chance to raise even more funds, Julia and Richard joined Ellen for a game of Heads Up, which ended with a surprise donation of $25k courtesy of Shutterfly.

Julia Roberts visit with Ellen airs Friday May 19 on NBC. Red Nose Day is Thursday May 25.
