MARKETS CLOSE: London shares fight back after yesterday's losses as oil prices push higher
The FTSE 100 closed up 34.29 points at 7470.71, rebounding after yesterday's sharp sell off as oil prices rose to one-month highs. Crude rose as Russia's Rosneft, the country's largest oil producer, is the latest name in the market to lend its support to extending OPEC-led production cuts. On the US political crisis, a City pundit said: 'The moves we have witnessed in the past few days should not be forgotten about so quickly, as this scandal surrounding Mr Trump hasn't gone away, it has just cooled off slightly.'

Tories plan to axe state pension triple lock from 2020, and base annual hikes on inflation or earnings with no 2.5% backstop
The Tories will axe the 'triple lock' guarantee from 2020, meaning older people could eventually get smaller annual state pension rises if Theresa May wins the election. The party would switch to 'double lock' increases in three years' time, so the state pension would no longer rise by a minimum of 2.5 per cent each year, but by whichever is the highest of inflation or annual earnings growth.

Santander's 123 account pays 1.5% interest on balances up to £20,000 and also gives 1 to 3% cashback on bills. You need to pay a £5 a month fee, pay in £500 a month and have two active direct debits.
Lloyds Bank's Club Lloyds Account pays up to 2% interest on up to £5,000 and comes with a choice of lifestyle benefits. It also offers a fee-free £100 overdraft. Watch out you must deposit £1,500 a month to avoid a £3 fee.
M&S; Bank's current account has a £125 gift card for joining, plus you get an extra £5 a month top up for the year. It has no qualifying criteria.
