Family-of-four build their dream £1.2m six-bedroom house

Richard and Nikki Cooper (top left), of Dorset, had their lavish pre-fabricated house (main) built in a factory in Germany and shipped over to a 52-acre plot near Lyme Regis. Channel 4 show Flat Pack Mansions followed the Cooper family as they installed the two floors in two days and astonishingly slotted on the roof by day three. The Coopers, who have two children, Teddie, 12, and Stanley, 10, bought the vast plot 18 months ago. In just five days, the Coopers' pre-fabricated home was created, wrapped and shipped to Dorset.

Oxford student who stabbed lover could be spared jail

Aspiring heart surgeon Lavinia Woodward, 24, swiped at boyfriend Thomas Fairclough with a blade, before stabbing him in the leg during a drink and drug-fuelled clash at Christ Church college, Oxford. Despite admitting unlawful wounding, Woodward, who currently lives in Milan, Italy, could avoid jail after a judge ruled a custodial sentence would harm her career prospects. The 'extraordinarily able' medical student is currently battling a drug problem and an old school friend said this is to blame for her explosive behaviour. She said: 'She became all dark and gothic and it was obvious she was into drugs.'

Please don't tell me that Oxford student Lavinia Woodward may be spared prison because she is posh. Actually, she may be spared prison because our justice system is made of mush.

Flat in London's Eaton Square on sale for £90,000

NEW This two-bedroom property in London's exclusive Eaton Square, home to Nigella Lawson and the Duchess of York, is going on the market for just £90,000 (main). While the average price of an apartment sold at the Belgravia address is more than £7 million, this pad which comes with access to private tennis courts (top) and has a grand entrance (right bottom), is expected to sell for less than the half the average home in England. The low price is due to the fact it is a leasehold apartment and the lease only has 13 months remaining on it. Whoever buys the flat will have to either permanently leave at the end of June 2018 or pay the freeholder, the Duke of Westminster (inset), £900,000 to extend it for another 20 years.

Meghan Markle arrives at Pippa Middleton's reception

Meghan Markle (top right) reportedly arrived at Pippa Middleton and James Matthews' evening reception just in time to watch a majestic flypast by a Word War Two-era Spitfire plane (left, inset). Prince Harry's actress girlfriend, 35, is understood to have joined guests to witness the spectacular aerial display from a £100,000 glass marquee (main) erected in the Middletons' mansion in Bucklebury, Berkshire, at 7.15pm on Saturday. The Suits star was not by Harry's side for the wedding in the nearby village of Englefield, but made a camera-shy appearance at the lavish reception, E! News reported. Just hours earlier, a beaming Pippa Middleton, 33, married billionaire hedge-fund manager James (pictured together, bottom right), 41, in an intimate ceremony at a 12th-century church.

Pippa not only roundly trounced her elder sister Kate, the 33-year-old proved she has taste, class, and, most importantly, that she knows her own mind, writes LIZ JONES.

Donna joined a host of guests ripping up the sartorial rule book in a series of eye-watering ensembles from garish tartan trousers to oversized fascinators decorated with feathers.

Behind the scenes look at Pippa Middleton's wedding

Pippa, left, and James Matthews spared no expense when it came to their lavish wedding reception and guests ate £40,000 Russian caviar, supped magnums of expensive Champagne and some even enjoyed a game of ping-pong with seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer (pictured, right, arriving at the ceremony with wife Mirka). However, photos of the society wedding of the year were not plastered all over the internet as guests were banned from using their mobile phones. The newly-weds ( even employed 'phone police' to enforce the rule and ensure not a single snap appeared in social media. Guests sipped £75-a-bottle sparkling wine from Sussex vineyard Nyetimber and tucked into £40,000 worth of caviar, reportedly donated by a Russian millionaire. While the church ceremony was a modest £500, the stunning 150ft-long glass marquee (top, centre) cost a further £100,000 and was specially shipped from Belgium to the reception grounds at the Englefield Estate (bottom centre) in Berkshire. The couple's parents must at least have been relieved that the Spitfire flypast by the Boultbee Flight Academy was donated for free!

Smile that says... Kate, I had a fairytale wedding, too!

Across a sea of pageboys and bridesmaids, a delighted Duchess of Cambridge exchanges smiles with her newly married sister as the happy couple pose for photographs. The old red and black tiles in the porch of St Mark's Church, Englefield, have felt the tread of many a spring bride over the centuries. Few can have looked quite as poised and polished as Pippa Middleton yesterday. And with Prince George and Princess Charlotte as page boy and flower girl, and the Duchess of Cambridge fussing over her sister's dress, none can have been more royally celebrated.

Is this why George cried? The moment naughty prince tramples on Pippa's £40,000 wedding dress as the three-year-old copies sister Charlotte, two, by stepping on the gown - before mum Kate gives both children a royal telling off

The three-year-old made for an adorable page boy at Pippa Middleton's wedding to billionaire hedge fund manager James Matthews in Englefield, Berkshire this morning. His two-year-old sister, Princesses Charlotte, acted as bridesmaid. But, it seems that after an hour in church the excitement became a bit much for George and he received a telling off from his mother after the ceremony. Video (left), shot as the newlyweds were leaving the church, appears shows the young prince and his sister skip onto the train of his aunt's £40,000 wedding dress. Kate immediately grabbed George and appeared to give him a small telling off. He was later pictured looking sulky outside the church as a patient Kate tried her best to calm him. However, when George continued his tantrum he received a rare public telling off from his mother (bottom right).

Pippa Matthews, 33, has been looking increasingly youthful of late and it's all down to subtle changes to her make-up such as ditching her heavy eyeliner and liberal application of bronzer.

Kate, 35, stunned in the flattering peach number as she joined her husband Prince William in picturesque Berkshire village of Englefield for the society wedding of the year.

Which Middleton had the most stylish wedding?

She was a maid of honour for her sister Kate when she married six years ago but today it was Pippa's turn to play the radiant bride. The 33-year-old married hedge fund manager James Matthews, 41, at a church in Englefield, Berkshire. Moments before she started her walk down the aisle the Duchess of Cambridge, 35, leaned down to help her arrange her stunning £40,000 Giles Deacon gown. The touching moment drew a comparison with the starring role Pippa played as she lifted Kate's train and helped her up the steps of Westminster Abbey in 2011 to exchange vows with Prince William. But this was not the only similarity between the two weddings.

Kent student, 18, snares rapist by filming attack on phone

Lillian Constantine (left) filmed the sexual assault carried out by Bangladeshi takeaway worker Ashraf Miah, 34, as she walked home late at night in the seaside town of Ramsgate, Kent. It is thought to be the first time ever that a victim's own footage (including the image, right) of an entire attack has helped put a rapist behind bars. It was only because Lillian was using her phone to light the way that she was able to hit the record button. Miah (police mugshot, inset) attacked her beneath a street light that had been turned off by a council to save money. He was jailed last month for 13-and-a-half years and must serve a minimum of nine-and-a-half years.

How a skull cap could help to zap deadly brain cancer

A skull cap that fires electrical currents into the brain to kill cancer cells is being used to treat one of the most deadly forms of the disease. Patients with glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer that affects about 4,000 people in the UK every year, has an estimated survival rate of 12 to 18 months. In the new treatment, an array of electrodes is glued to the patient's head, while a weak electrical current targets the cancer cells.

Wales river devastated toxic sludge from a 'green' plant

Last December a pipe from an anaerobic digester, meant to produce environmentally friendly electricity, burst causing thousands of gallons of toxic slime to descend in the River Teifi, mid-Wales, causing an ecological disaster. The slime slid slowly downhill across verdant meadows to a nearby stream - a tributary of the Teifi. The result was a poisonous 'tsunami', a flood of putrid sludge that flowed down the stream and into the river for hours. At least 1,000 mature trout and salmon were found dead immediately, but the full toll will be many times higher. Poison levels in an eight-mile stretch of the Teifi were so high almost no living things survived.
