And making sure all eyes were firmly on her face, the ageless movie star swept her brunette tresses back into a voluminous style.

Joining Juliette on the red carpet for Okja's premiere had been Bella Hadid, Rihanna and the cast of the movie - including Lily Collins, Tilda Swinton and Jake Gyllenhaal.

It took place just hours after the movie had found itself overshadowed by the chaos that had occurred at an early screening.

Audience members had booed Okja as its logo first appeared onscreen at the beginning of the viewing and it was subject to more boos after suffering a technical glitch.

The film has been under much scrutiny since it was revealed that it would be one of 19 films competing at the renowned film festival after Netflix announced it wouldn't be brought to French cinemas.

A statement from the Cannes Film Festival told MailOnline: 'A technical incident disrupted the beginning of the screening of Bong Joon-ho’s film, OKJA, which was shown this morning at a press screening at the Lumière Auditorium.

'The session was interrupted for a few minutes but was then able to carry on as normal.

'This incident was entirely the responsibility of the Festival’s technical service, which offers its apologies to the director, his teams, the producers and the audience at the showing.'
