Lighting up the red carpet! Irina Shayk and Goldie Hawn dazzle in eye-catching neon brights at 2013 Cannes amfAR Cinema Against Aids gala

There have already been a number of particularly memorable red carpet moments throughout the 66th Cannes Film Festival to date.

But Irina Shayk and Goldie Hawn made sure they turned heads as they dazzled in eye-catching neon numbers at the 2013 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes on Thursday night.

Positively lighting up the red carpet, pair shunned the ubiquitous LBD in favour of attention-grabbing fluro numbers as they arrived at the prestigious annual event.

Irina looked incredible as she posed up a storm upon her arrival, opting for a plunging hot pink gown with beaded detailing.

Choosing for something a little more conservative than the cut-away Roberto Cavalli gown she wore to the All Is Lost premiere on Wednesday night, the 27-year-old model teamed her dazzling fuchsia dress with a small gold clutch bag, and wore her brunette locks poker straight.

Goldie, 67, opted for a bold ensemble for her big red carpet moment, choosing a low-cut fluro green billowing number, which she teamed with strappy gold sandals and a matching miniscule clutch.

And she certainly seemed to be in good spirits as she posed up a storm on the red carpet, giggling away as she posed for photographers.

While Irina and Goldie looked incredible in their bold and bright ensembles, most of the other amfAR attendees opted for staple monochrome numbers.

Milla Jovovich broke the mold somewhat in a striking ruffle detail taupe dress with dramatic silver adornment and an eye-catching plunging neckline.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Sharon Stone both chose white ensembles as they hit the star-studded event.

The British model looked pretty as a picture in a strapless number with a short tulip hem, and rocked a pair of fierce white stilettos as she posed for photographs.

Meanwhile, legendary actress Sharon continued a week of striking sartorial choices in a stunning white floor-length gown by Roberto Cavalli with a dramatic long train.

Kylie Minogue followed their lead, looking incredible in a plunging white Cavalli dress with daring cut-out detail, as she gazed adoringly at boyfriend Andres Velencoso on the red carpet.

Heidi Klum also kept up with the apparent dress code for the evening, choosing a pretty ruffle-detail Marchesa number with gold detailing on the bust.

Meanwhile, Jessica Chastain looked elegant in a deep red one-shoulder frock, while model Joan Smalls opted for an unusual printed long-sleeve gown with a completely sheer skirt.

Elsewhere, Aishwarya Rai added a touch of class to the proceedings in a dazzling golden sari with her raven locks piled up into a top knot.

Tamara Ecclestone arrived at the event alongside her fiance, Jay Rutland, and made sure to turn heads in a glittering black and gold one-shoulder gown.

The annual charity event, regarded as the hottest ticket of the Cannes Film Festival, is held to raise money for AIDS research.
