The 24-year-old singer shared the lengthy note on Monday, where she said that she's 'lucky to be in a position to have the love of tens of millions of people.'

Demi said that she was reminded that 'having emotional connection and love' are important to the 'existence and survival' of the human race.

The artist called her fans' support 'unreal' and that their 'kindness' blows her away.

The former Disney star added that she needed time to 'step away from all the craziness' of the end of last year; she thought her fans would be 'upset' with her.
