The news broke last week that they had called time on their eight-month romance.

And on Sunday, Taylor Lautner was spotted for the first time after his split with Billie Lourd was confirmed.

The 25-year-old and a gal pal - who looks a lot like Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress - hit the beach for some body surfing on the famous waves in Malibu, California.

The star of the Twilight franchise covered up in a black and blue wetsuit, necessary in the chilly waters of the Pacific even on a hot day.

He carried his board under one arm and was later seen riding the waves like an expert.

His female friend was first spotted wearing a wetsuit jacket that she peeled off to reveal a teeny white string bikini.

The pair were joined by a third friend who gallantly dragged two boards while the beautiful blonde toted a fold-up beach chair and towels.

People reported on Thursday that Taylor and Billie had called it quits.

'They aren’t together anymore but they are still friendly. She’s really focused on her work right now,' said a source.

The two began dating last year and Taylor was there for the 24-year-old Scream Queens actress when her mother Carrie Fisher, 60, and grandmother Debbie Reynolds, 84, passed away within a day of each other in December.

Billie, who is appearing on the next season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, is said to be concentrating on her career at the moment.

She will next be seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, due out on December 15, and Billionaire Boys Club, with Ansel Elgort, which has yet to set a date.
