Melissa Rauch has joyfully announced she's pregnant again after suffering a miscarriage several years ago.

The Big Bang Theory star is expecting her first child with screenwriter husband Winston Rauch in the fall and shared the happy news on social media on Tuesday.

Melissa, 37, wrote a statement for her fans explaining her trepidation at announcing the news.

'Melissa is expecting her first child. She is extremely overjoyed, but if she’s being honest, due to the fact that she had a miscarriage the last time she was pregnant, she’s pretty much terrified at the moment that it will happen again.

'She feels weird even announcing this at all, and would rather wait until her child heads off to college to tell anyone, but she figures she should probably share this news before someone sees her waddling around with her mid-section protruding and announces it first.' she added.

She also linked to a moving blog post she wrote for Glamour in which she details her experience in the hopes that it might help other women going through the same experience.

After her miscarriage Melissa admitted to feeling some jealousy towards other women who got pregnant and welcomed babies seemingly so easily, describing it as a little 'stab in the heart'

But the experience made her think about other women's suffering now that it's time to share her happy news.

'It felt a bit disingenuous to not also share the struggle it took for me to get here.' she wrote.

Melissa revealed she wanted to talk about the issue to 'chip away' at the unnecessary stigma around it.

She went on to write that her miscarriage was 'one of the most profound sorrows I have ever felt in my life' adding, 'It kickstarted a primal depression that lingered in me.'
