Lindsay Lohan skips brother Michael Lohan Jr.'s wedding to longtime girlfriend to work on top secret project

Lindsay Lohan's brother got married over the weekend, but the actress wasn't able to attend his big day.

The Mean Girls star was busy working on a top secret project. 

Her spokesperson tells DailyMail.com: 'Her brother knew she would not be there they spoke before it happened and she wished him well.'

Mike and his longtime girlfriend exchanged nuptials in Block Island, Rhode Island on Saturday, Page Six reported.

Lindsay was missing from the ceremony, and has been social media silent for the past week.

However, her parents Michael and Dina Lohan both watched their son say 'I do,' despite their contentious relationship with each other.

The Sick Note star's younger sister, Aliana also attended Mike and Nina's wedding.

The singer posted a short video of the room where the bride and the flower girl were getting ready.

'So happy to have you apart of our family Nina,' she captioned the clip.

Last week, Lindsay spent her 31st birthday with her manager, Scott Carlsen, in Greece.

In an Instagram video, he serenaded her with a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday' before surprising her with a cake shaped like a boat.

He also posted a photo of them riding in a helicopter together in Mykonos in honor of her big day.

'Happy birthday to the best @lindsaylohan ❤ you forever. Xoxoxo thank you - excited for what's to come :),' he captioned it.

Her other brother, Dakota, ended up FaceTiming with his sister because he couldn't celebrate with her in person.

'Happy 31st Birthday Linds! Wish I was with you to celebrate but this will have to do. #loveyou #partytime,' he captioned a screenshot from the video call.

When the couple announced their impending nuptials last year, the celeb publicly congratulated them by sharing one of their engagement photos on her own Instagram.

Congratulations to my beautiful sister in law @ninaginz and my brother @mikelohan!!!' she wrote in the since-deleted post.

Earlier in the year, she also shared a selfie with her brother's longtime girlfriend, but that picture has also been deleted.

Mike and Nina were together for 10 years before getting married.

Lindsay is the oldest of Dina and Michael's four children, and also has three other half-siblings, who are her father's other kids.
