On Sunday the country music singer announced on Instagram she has accepted a proposal from beau Ryan Hurd.

The 27-year-old Texas native flashed a diamond ring in her snapshot and added the caption, 'Yes.'

Maren is best known for the hit songs My Church, Drunk Girls Don't Cry, I Could Use A Love Song and Second Wind. 

'We were both at different publishing companies, and our publishers’ job is to fill our calendars up, so they just randomly put us together on a write one day,' Morris told People.

'That writing session culminated in Last Turn Home, a country ballad Tim McGraw heard and then decided to record the very next day.

'We had been friends for only a couple of years, but there was always this writing chemistry in the room, and eventually, the timing of it was undeniable.

'We had such a foundation built off writing so many songs over the years that we were like, "Why are we avoiding this?"' she added. 

The two looked close in April at the ACM Awards.
