The good times showed no sign of ending on Tuesday as Katy Perry continued to soak up the sun during her current coastal break in southern Italy.

The American singer, 32, caught the eye in a striking white bikini as she idled on the deck of her luxury yacht while cruising close to the Amalfi Coast.

Katy, who is taking a well-earned break following back to back promotional commitments on behalf of new album Witness, appeared to be in high spirits as she gazed out at the sweeping stretch of picturesque coastline.

With temperatures soaring, the singer delighted pals by leaping into the Mediterranean from the sprawling boat’s top deck.

Katy's holiday comes as the pop princess, who sings about being 'spread like a buffet' in her latest single Bon Appétit, opened up about how her parents handle the sexually suggestive lyrics.

The acclaimed pop star was asked how her devoutly Christian parents, Keith and Mary Hudson, reacted to the dance track during a candid chat on Australian radio station Nova in June.

'... The thing about it is, which is such a weird thing, to really understand we agree to disagree but still with loving space,' she said.

'We all come from different places... you can have your belief system, nobody is telling you to not believe your beliefs but you can also come from a space of love... that's what my family and I exercise all the time.'

The singer released her new album on June 9 and is already embarking on a worldwide tour to promote her music.
