They're one of society's most popular couples so when Jimmy Choo PR Alexandra Lucy Edwards and private members' club owner Carlo Carello tied the knot, it was sure to be a lavish affair.

Alexandra, 27, married Italian aristocrat and Princess Beatrice's rumoured ex Carlo, 30, from London, last week at a dazzling three-day event in Turin, Italy, with two hundred of their society pals.

Alexandra, from Kensington, London, who is PR Manager at Jimmy Choo, and Carlo, who used to run the royals' favourite club, Boujis, and has since opened the doors to hot new members' club, Albert's, said their vows at Castello di Racconigi, a palace just south of Turin. The couple, who legally said their vows beforehand in Chelsea, were granted special access, making them the first people to get married there since 1930 and while the price of renting the venue isn't disclosed, it's estimated to cost over £100,000.

The bride stunned in a Naeem Khan Bridal gown designed by the Indian-American fashion designer based in New York. Naeem's elegant and intricate designs are priced between £5,000 and £17,000 and, of course, Alexandra offset her look with Jimmy Choo heels.

Guests - including society folk, fashion PRs and Carlo's wealthy Italian family - enjoyed a pre-wedding dinner at Michelin-starred restaurant Al Gatto Nero before watching the couple say their vows at the Palace, which was originally built as the home of 16th-century Savoy princes and is currently a museum.

AN ITALIAN FEAST: WHAT GUESTS ATE

Guests were served fine Italian wines alongside each of their dishes and the menus and wedding favours (fans) were designed by illustrator Susannah Garrod

Tatler dub Carlo, who was educated at top school, Harrow, the man that 'everyone wants to be friends with'. He has forged friendships with Princes William and Harry, who famously partied at his clubs in their youth, and has been a long-time pal of Princess Beatrice (who he was once romantically linked to) and Chelsy Davy.

Carlo first dated Alexandra, the daughter of a wealthy financier, when she was 17 and a student at exclusive Francis Holland school.

They went their separate ways and met again years later before Carlo popped the question in 2015 in Barbados with a stunning engagement ring containing a diamond from a necklace that belonged to Carlo's mother set in the centre.

Carlo has previously spoken out about his alcohol addiction, telling the Evening Standard: 'Drink is always around you in this business and I’m not a man of half measures, I’m either fully in or fully out.'

Carlo has been sober for two years and credits Alexandra as a calming influence. The couple enjoy jogging together, days at the Polo and dinner parties with their aristocrat friends.

Carlo and Alexandra are currently honeymooning in Gstaad, where they've been enjoying an action-packed itinerary of paragliding, mountain hiking and lake diving.
