Sarah Cummins was due to marry her fiance Logan Araujo on Saturday at the Ritz Charles reception venue in Carmel, just north of Indianapolis. The 25-year-old cancelled the wedding last week but found she was unable to refund the cost of the reception dinner for their 170 guests. The Purdue University grad student decided to donate the reception to several homeless shelters in Indiana and invited them to dinner at the venue on Saturday night.

Stuntman John Bernecker (left with girlfriend Jennifer Cocker) has died after falling from a 25-foot balcony onto the concrete floor while working on the set of The Walking Dead. The 33-year-old (pictured right on the set of the show) was airlifted to hospital in Atlanta on Wednesday and his ventilator was turned off a day later surrounded by his friends, family and girlfriend Jennifer Cocker. Sources claimed John suffered swelling to the brain, while a coroner confirmed that he died of blunt force trauma after losing his footing and falling while rehearsing a fight scene.   

Two homes have fallen into a 200-foot sinkhole that has opened up in a Tampa neighborhood forcing residents to evacuate. The sinkhole opened up in Pasco County at about 9:30 a.m. in the Land O Lakes neighborhood. The home fell into the watery hole this morning and the muddy pit has now claimed part of a neighboring home. Firefighters said the hole grew within minutes.

President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron spent the last 24 hours insisting they have a 'very good relationship,' in spite of their differences, but they proved Friday that old habits die hard when they engaged in another handshake battle as they said au revoir at the conclusion of the US leader's visit to Paris. First Lady of France Brigitte Macron was also drawn into the tug of war, with Trump using both his hands to jerk the Macrons in. First Lady of the United States Melania Trump stood off to the side as the bizarre interaction went down. Finally free of Donald Trump's grip, Brigitte Macron grabbed Melania's hand and did not let go for several moments so that she was not left out of the group goodbye. The awkwardness didn't end there. Refusing to allow his counterpart to have the upper hand, Emmanuel Macron patted and brushed Donald Trump on the back several more times for good measure. The two couples sealed the long goodbye with European kisses. Donald and Melania were then whisked off to the airport for their daylong flight home.

The 35-year-old pop star - who also shares daughter Blue Ivy, five, with Jay Z - shared the first official photo of her two new bundles of joy on Instagram on Thursday night. Alongside the picture, she confirmed the names of the boy and girl as she wrote:  'Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today.'

Fidel Lopez, 26, pleaded guilty to murder and sexual battery charges in exchange for a life sentence on Thursday in Florida's Broward County Court. He brutally murdered and molested 31-year-old Maria Nemeth at his Florida apartment in 2015 after flying into a rage when she called out her ex-partner's name during a drunken sexual encounter.  Lopez had called police to his apartment on the night of September 20, 2015 claiming that his girlfriend was having trouble breathing. He initially told investigators that the couple had been having rough, drunken sex when Nemeth fell ill. He later admitted to flying into a rage when she shouted her ex-husband's name during sex, before he molested her and ripped out her intestines. Police arrived to find a large amount of blood on the floor of a closet and reported there was also 'several chunks of bloody tissue'.

A woman in the middle of selling off her house was barred from closing the deal after a family of strangers turned up saying it was their rightful home. Dena Everman (bottom left) returned to the house in Marietta, Georgia, (top) on June 25, for what she thought would be the last time before she was due to close the sale the next day. But Everman found Tamera Pritchett (bottom right), her fiancé, and two children had moved in after they responded to a fake Craigslist ad from someone claiming to be the owner. The predicament lasted for nearly three weeks before Everman contacted the district attorney, who deemed it criminal trespassing.

The Wagner family lives in Kenai, Alaska, 4,000 miles away from the eight murders police believe say they are the 'laser focus' of in Piketon, Ohio (right). Police believe the Wagners hold the key to who slaughtered Christopher Roden Jr, 16 (right), Clarence 'Frankie' Rhoden, 20, Hannah Hazel Gilley, 20, Hanna May Rhoden, 19, Christopher Rhoden Sr, 40, Dana Rhoden (left), 37, Gary Rhoden, 38, and Kenneth Rhoden (center), 44 in April last year.

The NYPD has arrested three suspects who are accused sexually assaulting and robbing a 50-year-old mother-of-two after she left a prayer service in Queens. Those arrested were Brandon Walker, 20, left, Julisses Ginel, center and Justin Williams, right, who were perp walked out of the 112th precinct last night.

An assortment of billionaires, titans and moguls turned the walkways at the famed Sun Valley Lodge into their very own catwalks (Stacey Bendet and Lucy Page left) as they headed off to breakfast and the first session of the day in a colorful assortment of casualwear (Bloomberg center). It was one of the rare times that many of the men and women in attendance could been seen unsuited and unbuttoned, and while most of the men stuck to a basic khaki or jean paired with their blue vest or windbreaker, there were a few notable exceptions. Ivanka Trump (right) and Jared Kushner were also seen back in action at the conference on Friday, with the First Daughter showing some fashion flair in a jean jacket and oversized chandelier earrings. A woman who was thrown to her death after a low flying plane blew her off her feet at a Caribbean beach has been identified. Gayleen McEwan (pictured left with husband Phill and right with daughter Kelly), a mother of three, had joined hundreds of other tourists at Sint Maarten to watch planes taking off at the beach-side Juliana International Airport on Wednesday. Ms McEwan, 57, was holding onto the fence when she was blown from her feet before hitting her head on the rocks and suffering fatal injuries.

Authorities in Spain said the routine inspection was carried out on the footballer's yacht, named the aYa London, and witnesses said Ronaldo remained calm as it was being carried out. He was with family members, including girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez after leaving a restaurant on the island of Formentera.

An endearing video has emerged of an orangutan touching a pregnant woman's baby bump much to her amusement. The footage, captured in a zoo in Bali, Indonesia shows the ape continuously stroking a woman called Jessica's stomach during a feeding session. 'My daughter Jessica was on holidays in Bali whilst pregnant and visited Bali Zoo for a feeding session with the orangutans,' her father later wrote online.

Most passers-by assumed the dark, stationary object by the side of a Russian road was just a rock. But when one eagle-eyed driver stopped to have a closer look, he found a six-month-old kitten nearly frozen to death. So the man, Slava, wrapped the immobile creature in a towel and rushed her home to warm up. He later decided to adopt the adorable feline, and named her Nika. She had to have her frostbitten tail amputated but otherwise made a full recovery and now has a loving home with Slava.

Located in the Graubunden mountains of the Swiss Alps, the Null Stern Hotel has no facilities and the nearest public loo is a ten-minute walk away. While reservations can be cancelled at short notice due to bad weather (unsurprisingly) every night available at the hotel is currently booked.

A pregnant raccoon crawled into a car in Manatee County, Florida on Wednesday morning and gave birth to two cubs in the backseat. The mother and her baby destroyed the car peeing in it and scratching all over. One cub was found in the car while the other was found stuck in the trunk, soaking wet.

Passengers at a Chinese airport witnessed a near-miss drama this week when a plane rolled out of its parking dock. A worker was forced to chase the rolling A320 airbus on the tarmac (pictured) after removing the wheel chocks (inset) by mistake, a video has shown. The worker managed to stop the aircraft shortly afterwards.
