Lobbyist with Russian intel ties also went to meeting

The Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr in Trump Tower was accompanied by two more people than previously revealed, including a former Soviet counter-intelligence official, who some U.S. officials believe has an ongoing relationship with Russian intelligence, NBC News reported Friday. The individual, Russian-American lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin, confirmed his participation in the meeting to the Associated Press. He's denied any current ties to Russian spy agencies.

Did Jared leak the Donald Trump Jr meeting emails?

It is the scandal which has electrified Washington, New York, and Russia, and painted his eldest son as at very least a fool and at worst a knave. So who revealed he had met a Russian lawyer? Was it Jared Kushner (pictured top left with wife Ivanka in Idaho) looking to save his own skin? Was it the Russians? British PR Rob Goldstone (bottom left) set up the meeting and Rinat Akhmetshin was there. Was it the FBI, still shattered about the firing of its director, James Comey (bottom right)? Or was it the President himself (pictured top right flying back from Paris on Friday)?

'Proper man' Mike Tindall cuts down (a tad) on his boozing

The sixth anniversary of the marriage of Mike and Zara Tindall, who are pictured left, occurs at the end of this month and the couple have known each other for 14 years. It's fair to say that reaching such a landmark has, at times, appeared unlikely. Indeed, their union has survived tests that would surely have put paid to other relationships, or at least placed them under considerable strain. How many other internationally successful macho men would gracefully submit to a marriage where their wife clearly out-earned them by a significant margin? How many high-profile couples could tolerate a triple blow of tragedy such as the Tindalls have been dealt, with Mike's father sinking into the grip of Parkinson's disease, Zara's beloved horse Toytown being put down last month after over two decades of service and - of course - their much longed-for second pregnancy ending in miscarriage in December? Add all this to Mike's discomfort with some aspects of how the royals raise their children (he said in a recent interview he would never permit daughter, Mia, three, pictured inset and right, to go to boarding school). Not to mention the very public humiliation of him being pictured with his face nestled in a gorgeous blonde's breasts in the early days of his marriage to Zara, and the raucous drinking habits of both husband and wife, and you can see why some worried the union would never last. But instead of fracturing under such pressures, as so many of the Royals have before them, the Tindalls' marriage is thriving. This has been helped by Mike, 38, utterly winning over his in-laws. Not only is his wife completely enamoured of him, but so, too, are the Queen, Prince Philip, Zara's mother Princess Anne, and Princes William and Harry.

Pregnant raccoon breaks into a convertible and gives birth

A pregnant raccoon crawled into a car in Manatee County, Florida on Wednesday morning and gave birth to two cubs in the backseat. The mother and her baby destroyed the car peeing in it and scratching all over. One cub was found in the car while the other was found stuck in the trunk, soaking wet.

Stunned eyewitnesses in the town of Progreso de Madero in southern Mexico filmed what appears to be a huge black ring surrounded by smoke in the sky.

The manta ray was caught by a Brazilian fisherman off the southern coast. Measuring almost ten feet, the beast got tangled in the fishing tackles. Fishermen helped it escape (pictured).

Elderly man carefully combs his sick wife's hair

The elderly couple (pictured), believed to be from the US, can be seen in the heartwarming clip published online today. As the man leans over his wife, he chats with her, and sweetly points out that she has done the same thing for him in the past. 'I've never combed yours before, Nellie,' the husband says as she arranges his wife's hair. 'This is the first time for this, you know.' He is clearly eager to do a good job and to make sure he doesn't miss a spot. While he holds the comb with one hand, he uses his other hand to gently smooth Nellie's hair in a delicate gesture.
