Towards the end of her pregnancy, Ms Stode proved just how challenging it was to exercise while pregnant by strapping a medicine ball to her husband Rhett for a 'pregnancy workout'.

In a video posted on Ms Strode's Instagram page, Rhett wore six kilogram weighted ball strapped to his belly as he attempted kettle bell squats with his wife in the kitchen.

He then tried squatting with weights and and several squat jumps before the ball finally fell out and he gave up altogether.

'Challenged the hubby to a pregnancy workout. Let's just say it didn't go so well,' Ms Strode wrote.

'His response as soon as we taped the weighted ball to him was "OH OUCH, this really hurts your back hey" and yep - that's the reason women have babies and not men.'

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the time, Ms Strode said Rhett found the workout very challenging.

'He actually found it really difficult, awkward and uncomfortable and said numerous times "oh my back hurts",' she said

'POWERING on though because that's what us mamas do.'

The doting mother, who boasts more than 86,000 followers online for her inspiring posts about motherhood and fitness, hit back at a troll who said she was looking "really big" at 33 weeks.

'Yea geez honey, I'm growing a human - what do you expect? A 6 pack? he comment really shook me up for a while,' she wrote.

'I started to think about everything I'd eaten and began to beat myself up for letting myself go. I told myself for the remaining weeks of my pregnancy I'd restrict my eating so I didn't put on any more weight.

10 x Single Arm Dumbbell Squat + Push (both sides)

15 x Dumbbell Curl + Push

10 x Dumbbell Rows (both sides)

15 x Closed Squat + Single Dumbbell Push

'I tried to think of ways I could fit in an hour of exercise rather than 20 minutes a few times a week. I felt really low and even googled pictures of "33 week pregnant belly" so I had something to compare myself to.'

But Ms Strode said while she briefly considered putting her account on hold for the rest of her pregnancy, she wasn't going to let a stranger get her down when her body was doing 'whatever it needs to do to bring life into this world'.

'I haven't done anything wrong, there's absolutely no need for me to be hard on myself. I have everything I need in the world right beside me,' she said.

'I have a wonderful family, a roof over our heads, a healthy baby in my tummy - f**k it if someone thinks I've got fat!
