'Did Holly just drop the F bomb on daytime TV?': Viewers in shock as they accuse Ms Willoughby of making a VERY rude statement... before she leaves This Morning for the summer

She's the face of daytime television and is known for her family friendly image.

Yet Holly Willoughby shocked viewers as she appeared to swear live on Friday's episode of This Morning whilst she shared a joke with Phillip Schofield.

After witnessing her co-host clear his throat in a hilarious manner, the 36-year-old presenter exclaimed in shock: 'I can't believe you finally done that!' explaining that he often makes the bizarre noise off-camera.

Holly and Phil were no doubt hoping to leave on a high ahead of their summer break from the show.

The presenting duo - who usually front the show Monday through to Thursday - will take a six-week break from now until September so that they can be with their children over the warmer months.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, who host the programme on Fridays, will be filling in for the pair, whilst it's believed Rylan Clark-Neal will join forces with Alison Hammond to become the stand-in hosts for Fridays over the summer.

Say what? Viewers were so shocked tha they posted the clips online, but all was not as it seemed, as Holly's statement was in fact perfectly innocent

The remark comes just a day after the daytime programme shocked with another lewd comment.

On Thursday's show the Love Island rejects slipped into their swimsuits for a segment on 'fun things to do in your garden' and things went a little awry.

Love Island's cheeky voiceover star, Iain Stirling, acknowledged that the show was taking a bit of a risk airing the saucy swimsuit scenes early in the morning.

He said: 'Hello everyone. Welcome to This Morning. Let’s see if this can be amusing pre-watershed.'

Taking it easy: Holly and Phil were no doubt hoping to leave on a high ahead of their summer break from the show. The presenting duo - who usually front the show Monday through to Thursday - will take a six-week break from now until September

Yet it was Iain himself who lowered the tone during the event.

This Morning's Steve Wilson could be seen shooting the reality stars with his water pistol as they whooped with delight.

Yet just when things appeared to be going smoothly, Iain shocked with a very inappropriate comment.

He said: 'He's making ladies wet, and not for the first time.'
