DMX 'facing up to 44 years in prison after being charged with tax evasion for concealing income from the IRS'
He has hardly had his legal troubles to seek in recent times.
And now it has emerged rapper DMX has been charged with tax evasion after allegedly hiding his income from the Internal Revenue Service.
The Party Up (Up in Here) star is facing up to 44 years in federal prison if he is found guilty on all 14 counts.

According to TMZ his bill is eye-watering, with the US Attorney's Office in New York claiming the 46-year-old is now around $1.7 million in the red to the IRS.
According to his indictment, the star, real name, Earl Simmons, was making massive sums during the early 2000s when he a battery of hit songs. The ditty X Gon' Give It To Ya is even cited by name in in the document.
But rather than sharing details of his massive windfalls, he is said to have avoided the use of using personal bank accounts, instead depositing his money in the accounts of third parties, including business managers.
He is accused of living on cash, which further disguised his financial status.

He is even accused of demanding his full fee for an appearance on Couples Therapy after taxes had been withheld in his initial payment.
The hip hop favourite is said to have eventually got a cheque for the complete sum of $125,000.
According to prosecutors his income in 2011 and 2012 was listed as unknown" ... while in fact he had been raked in $353,000 in the former and $542,000 in the latter
While he did report an income of $10,000 in 2013, he is accused of having actually earned $250,000.
The chart favourite has faced a number of legal issues in the last few years, including spending more than two months in jail for failing to pay child support, as well as being arrested for driving under the influence and being in possession of marijuana.
