She's jetted off to Italy to promote her new Netflix drama To The Bone at the Ischia Film Festival.

But Lily Collins, 28, was taking a break from promoting her latest role as she hit the beach with pals on the sun-soaked Saturday afternoon.

Showing off her physique, the actress flashed a glimpse of her toned tummy in the fitted cutaway swimming costume which was decorated with elaborate embroidery.

Lily, who reportedly lost 20lbs for her role as the anorexia sufferer Ellen, teamed her swimming attire with tiny denim shorts which drew attention to her long legs.

The To The Bone star sheltered herself from the blazing sunshine with a fedora and oversized sunglasses.

Later, she found refuge on a sun lounger as she was completely and utterly relaxed in the basking Italian heat which reached skyrocketing highs of 26C.

Earlier on in the day, the daughter of Phil Collins had been attending to her acting duties as she promoted the 2017 flick in a photocall.

Lily took a break from promoting her new drama ‘To The Bone’ and went for a splash with some pals in the Italian sunshine. Lucky lady!

The actress has been on a bit of a style marathon over the last few weeks, and it seems that her swimwear isn’t any less chic than her red carpet looks.

Miss Collins opted against a stringy bikini, and instead showed off her slim physique in an embroidered black one piece with a semi sheer panel at the waist.

Rather like an LBD, a little black swimsuit is a total classic. It can easily be packed for an exotic holiday or simply worn for a quick dip in the local pool - oh and did we mention how flattering they can be?!

She explained how her severe eating disorder stopped her menstrual cycle for two years and could have affected her chances of having children.

Lily revealed she gorged on junk food, then forced herself to throw up, causing her hair to fall out and her nails to become brittle.

‘My periods stopped for two years,' she bravely confessed. 'And my life was out of control. I was terrified I had ruined my chances of ever having kids.'

Of her relationship with her father, she said: ‘There was a terrible disconnect that grew between us. Many of my deepest insecurities stem from my issues with my dad.’

Lily, who went to school in Los Angeles, lived with mother Jill Tavelman (Phil's second wife) after their separation.

When she heard that his marriage to third wife Orianne Cevey was also in trouble, along with the stress of her school life, she became anorexic and bulimic in 2008.

For To The Bone, the actress has insisted that she lost weight in a 'healthy' fashion, with regular check-ups from doctors.

Regardless, her mother sobbed when she saw her daughter looking gaunt in the film, no doubt bringing back the harrowing memories of Lily's teenage years.

Speaking about her mum's reaction, Lily told the EDIT: 'The first time mum saw the film she was a bit in shock.

'The second time I looked over at the end and she was sobbing; it really hit her hard. I never wanted her to feel responsible; she's like my best friend.'

In her autobiography Unfiltered, Lily touches on her eating disorder that plagued her teenage years.
