She is set to give fans a lot more than they have bargained for in her new comedy series Friends From College. 

In the show now streaming on Netflix, Cobie Smulders completely strips off as she gets stuck into a VERY raunchy sex scene with her co-star Nat Faxon. 

The duo put on a titillating display as they bare all during their onscreen dalliance, which doesn't appear to go to plan - given the faces they are both pulling.

Friends From College tells the tale of a group of pals from Harvard who are approaching their forties and the complicated relationships with one another that come with it. 

Cobie stars as Lisa Turner in the series, who finds herself getting intimate with a guy called Nick, played by Faxon. 

In the explicit scenes the duo are seen getting well acquainted with each other in the bedroom, as they both appear completely naked before getting hot and heavy under the sheets together.

At one point, both Smulders and Faxon's onscreen characters are seen drenched in sweat as they continue their steamy marathon, which is no doubt set to get viewers' pulses racing. 

Although, it seems there will still be some comedic value to the provocative display, as both are seen grimacing while locked in a very comprising position. 

Speaking about her addition to the Friends From College cast, Cobie has said getting involved with the series was an easy decision for her to make.

She told E! News: 'I love Nick [Stoller]'s work and the writing was amazing and the cast all came together…It just seemed like it would be the best thing to do.'

Cobie is most loved for her role as Robin Scherbatsky in US sitcom How I Met Your Mother. And while fans would be keen for a show reunion following its conclusion in 2014, she suggested her focus is now elsewhere. 

'I think it's too soon for How I Met Your Mother [to reunite]', she claimed. 'Maybe down the road.'

Meanwhile, Friends From College director Stoller shed some light on the series and its plot. 

He said: 'A big theme in the show is that you kind of get trapped in the age you are when you meet your friends from college. 

'While they're doing a lot of nice things that aren't necessarily nice to each other, they also do legitimately love each other and there is a great deal of warmth between them.' 

Friends From College premiered on July 13 and runs for eight episodes.
