Two 18-year-olds killed in Cumbria road crash named

Skye Olivia Mitchell, 18, and Caitlin Lydia Huddleston, 18, both from Millom, were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on Friday night. Ms Mitchell was the driver and Ms Huddleston the front seat passenger in a Toyota Yaris which was in collision with a Ford Transit Connect van on the A595 near the village of Bootle. A third 18-year-old local woman who was the back seat passenger remains in a critical condition after she was flown by air ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital.

Grimsby boy's horrific injuries after drunk driver crash

Kiernan Roberts was left with a broken neck and severe head injuries when Owen Finn, 64, crashed into him on a dark country road near Grimsby on October 7 last year. The 16-year-old (left and top right before the crash) was severely disfigured in the smash. Instead of stopping, Finn, who had been downing wine, spirits and cocktails at a function attended by former Conservative Party leader Michael Howard and Geoffrey Boycott, drove 130 miles to his mother's home in Birmingham with a broken windscreen. Finn (bottom right), from Birmingham, was branded a 'coward' in court. He admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was jailed for three years. He was sentenced to a further four months, to be served concurrently, for failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and drink-driving. Kiernan's family released the photographs to show the pain and suffering drink driving can cause.

Prolific blogger Amelia Liana, who has nearly 450,000 Instagram followers, has been accused of posting doctored pictures of beauty spots around the world.
