Bristol Palin's husband Dakota Meyer was only traveling away from home one night this week, but she managed to convince their one-year-old daughter Sailor Grace that her best friend is mommy - not daddy.

The 29-year-old former Marine took to Instagram Stories on Friday to share a video of him asking Sailor to name her best friend during their family road trip, and he was not too pleased with her answer.

'Sailor whose your best friend,' he asks, and the tot can't help giggle in car seat as she slyly responds: 'Mommy'.

'Are you kidding me?' It better be daddy,' Dakota yells, prompting little Sailor to laugh even harder.

Sailor seems to take great pleasure in her dad's mock anger. When he asks her the question again, she sounds even more confident when she says 'mommy' is her BFF.

'I leave her at home with @bsmp for 1 night without me,' he captioned the clip.

When Dakota was in San Antonio, Texas, for work on Wednesday night, Bristol taught Sailor to say that her 'mommy' is her favorite pal, sharing a video of the cute moment on her Instagram Stories.

The series of clips start with Bristol prompting Sailor to show the camera how she smiles, and when she starts to fuss a bit, the mom asks the tot if she wants to 'go night night'.

Sailor clearly wants to stay up, and Bristol has her politely say 'please' after she asks whether she wants to read a book before bed.

'Whose you're best friend?' Bristol continues, and Sailor replies: 'Mommy.'

'That's right! Daddy's so jealous,' she says gleefully as she snuggles her little girl.

In another video, Sailor is seen blowing kisses and Bristol reveals in the caption that they are 'kisses for daddy'.

She then prompts Sailor to say her sister's name before turning the camera to two-month-old Atlee Bay, who is smiling for the camera.

Just two days later, the family appears to be headed on a road trip.

In addition to Dakota's video of Sailor in the car, Bristol shared a snapshot of little Atlee on her lap, writing: 'so easier to travel when they're tiny'.

The adorable snapshot sees little Atlee yawning while sprawled on top of her mother's lap.

The two-month-old looks as comfy as can be in a light purple and white long-sleeve onesie.

However, Bristol may have ended up eating her words. After she shared the darling photo of Atlee, she returned to Instagram to post a snapshot of highway ahead of her.

She may have been having a tough time traveling with two children under the age of two, when she wrote: '*** so MUCH easier to travel when they're tiny...'

Bristol finished the post by adding two happy sweat emoji.

Together, Bristol and Dakota are raising their daughters and her eight-year-old son Tripp, her only child with her high school sweetheart and former fiance, Levi Johnston.

However, Tripp didn't appear to be traveling with them at the time.
