And now Ariel Winter has hit back at critics who had a thing or two to say about her outfit.

The 19-year-old took to Twitter on Thursday to post her 'rant', in which she declares, 'I'm not a whore because I wear shorts and tank tops. I'm a normal girl.'

'Pretty annoyed about the focus on the fact that I wear shorts, and the commentary that I'm "squeezing" into them or the idea that it's not okay for me to wear shorts. It's SUMMER. Get over it. It's hot, I'm obviously going to wear minimal clothes. I'm not going to suffer in a turtleneck to please anyone. 

'I'm not a wh*re because I wear shorts and tank tops. I'm a normal girl. Also, I'm not "squeezing" into anything. My shorts fit me and everything I'm doing is just fine. Please leave young women alone. We're just living our lives. It's really troubling that we even have to deal with this kind of stuff nowadays. Please stop criticizing everything everyone does!!!!! Rant over!' 

On Thursday evening, Ariel had posted a photo of herself wearing a sexy black outfit that looked perfect for a nightclub in Hollywood.

The teen has said that she loves her figure now after getting a breast reduction from a size F to a D in 2015 and should be able to dress however she wants.

Winter looked attractive in the outfit. She slipped into short, ripped Daisy Duke style shorts and bra with lace trim over her ribs.

The Sofia The First star also had on over-the-knee boots.

Winter's way of dressing was criticized by her mother in June when she talked to InTouch Weekly. Crystal Workman, whom Ariel is estranged from, said she wishes her daughter would not show so much flesh.

'I would not do that,' said Chrystal. 'She needs to grow up. I would tell her to dress properly, be the beautiful person she is.'

She added: 'I feel sad that she feels the need to expose herself when it’s not necessary.'

Workman then addressed the teen's standing in Hollywood: 'Ariel is smart, beautiful and talented. She is a legitimate actress. She does not need to do this. She is beautiful with her clothes on.'

Workman's public criticism is alarming as she does not have a relationship with her successful daughter.

Ariel became emancipated in 2015. She accused her mother of abusing her physically and emotionally.

And these new comments would seem to promise they will not make up anytime soon, especially since Ariel accused her mother of trying to 'sexualize' her when she was very young.

Winter started acting in Hollywood in 2005 - she was only seven at the time - when she landed a role on TV's Listen Up.

She went on to star on So Notorious, ER, Phineas And Ferb, Jake And The Neverland Pirates and Sofia The First (which she is still on). She is also now a regular on the mega successful Modern Family.

Winter's way of dressing her not only shocked her mother, but also several trolls online. When she posted several racy bikini photos to Instagram on Memorial Day weekend, some of her followers blew up.

Some criticized her for showing off her breasts and bottom during a weekend celebration meant for the men and women who sacrificed themselves for our country.

But instead of bickering, Ariel shared another post that read: 'Could not be more grateful to all of the men and women who risk their lives to protect ours and our freedom, We are all forever indebted to your service. Thank you.'

The young star was also slammed for wearing a risque cut-out dress to a Modern Family daytime event in May. Her co-stars dressed casually and covered up. She responded with: ''Why TF does anyone care that I didn't dress casual like everyone else for the panel? Why do I have to be like everyone else? Why can't people just let other people feel good about themselves and do what they want?'

In October Ariel addressed the ugly remarks that have been hurled at her. Turns out she has been body shamed for years.

'I was called every name in the book: fat, a slut, trashy, ugly,' she told Stylish. 'Right after I started developing, I automatically started getting all this hate. I developed these boobs and a butt, and everything changed. And as I got older, it only seemed to get worse.'

Winter has also credited her sister Shanelle Workman - whom she moved in with at just 14 - with helping her confidence. And she also gave props to Modern Family co-star Sofia Vergara. 'I read a lot of the stories young women will send me about their body positivity and their body journeys, and that really helps me,' she said.

'There are a lot of young women who are going through the same thing that I went through, and I think it's important that we all empower each other. It makes it easier.'
