'It was a lot of pressure': Coronation Street stars Rob Mallard and Daniel Brocklebank 'SPLIT'... just two months after confirming their relationship

Coronation Street stars Daniel Brocklebank and Rob Mallard have reportedly split, just two months after going public with their romance.

The soap couple - who met after Rob joined the cobbles last year - are said to have split due to the strain of working together and being in a relationship.

A source told The Sun: 'It was a lot of pressure for both of them to be working on the same show and going out - in the end something had to give.'

Despite the break-up, it's claimed Rob, 25, and Daniel, 37, remain on amicable terms.

'They decided to part ways a couple of weeks ago but they're still great friends and hope to remain that way.'

Their split comes just a month after Rob publicly declared his feelings for Daniel during his speech at the British Soap Awards.
