Love Island's Mike Thalassitis reportedly had to be rescued by police after his steamy romp with a model was interrupted by her jealous friends.

The 'shaken' footballer, 24, allegedly locked a terrified Robyn Delabarre, 19, in the toilet when three girls stormed into his hotel room - who then tried to bang down the bathroom door.

The intruders are said to have branded Robyn a 's**g' and refused to leave until the police arrived at 3.45am, after which Mike and Robyn slept together twice.

Mike reportedly met Robyn during a night out at The Viper Rooms in West London before his explosive return to the Love Island villa.

She is later said to have returned to his hotel room, the Sun reported. 

Surrey-born Robyn claimed that they had just started kissing and were about to have sex when the girls, who she knew from school, began banging on the door. 

'They called me 'slag'. Mike locked me in the bathroom and went to the door but they barged in and tried to bang down the bathroom door. It was scary,' she told the paper.

The model claimed that she and the Margate striker still had sex twice after the ordeal.  

'I felt like I had known him for ages. The sex was really good. I have really fallen for him,' she said.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Mike for comment. 

The Met Police said: 'Officers attended the hotel. There were no arrests.'

The explosive claims come after Mike returned to Love Island on Wednesday and coupled up with Tyla Carr - who was previously with Jonny Mitchell.

Since the return of Mike earlier in the week, after he was dumped last month, he has become the object of desire for a string of the villa's single ladies - including newbie Georgia Harrison and his former flame Olivia Attwood. 

With much decision rife throughout the show over who would choose the footballer, the dashing hunk took Tyla aside to insist she was his fabled 'type' yet he also had his eye on Georgia - although Tyla insisted she would pick Mike in a recoupling.

While chatting on the terrace, Mike probed the stunner: 'It's better for me (this time round) because there's girls I actually fancy. I left way too soon. 

'It's a shame I left when you came in. You're the best girl in here. I think you know. I don't think you're big headed', after which Tyla coyly admitted she would pick the fan favourite much to his delight and Georgia's chagrin.

It comes after Love Island viewers claimed Mike 'basically admitted' that he did sleep with Jess Shears outside the villa.

Fans branded the 24-year-old footballer 'the worst liar ever' after he evaded the Islander's questions about the explosive rumours on Thursday night.

They also zoned in on the moment the Cypriot hunk insisted to Marcel that he would be with Jess if it wasn't for her boyfriend Dom Lever - with viewers suggesting she was only with him for 'money and fame'.

Mike was barraged with questions from the other Islanders about whether he slept with Jess in the bedroom.

Mike smiled and look down before muttering: 'Nothing, nah,' before bursting into laughter and telling them: 'I'm not saying.' 

The hunk, who has vehemently denied the rumours previously, added: 'It's not true. It was nothing.'

Viewers remained unconvinced by his denial, saying that it was getting 'embarrassing'.

And their suspicions mounted further when Mike claimed that he would be dating Jess if it wasn't for Dom - who she has rekindled a romance with on the outside.
