Oh baby! Serena Williams shares picture of her growing bump in skintight dress

This time of year normally sees Serena Williams adding another trophy or two to her growing collection.

But having temporarily retired from competitive sport to focus on her pregnancy, the tennis superstar shared a picture of her changing figure to Instagram.

Featuring her growing bump in a clinging dress, the two pictures showed a smiling Serena looking happy and content.

The mother-to-be posted her pictures without comment, hours after watching her big sister compete in the Wimbledon Women's Final on Saturday.

A seven times Wimbledon singles champion herself, Serena was this time simply a fan as she supported Venus.

And it was obvious that in turn Serena was on Venus's mind, after the 37-year-old missed out on her sixth Wimbledon title by losing to Garbine Muguruza, 23, on Center Court.

'I miss you,' Venus told Serena, 35, after the match in a video posted by BBC Tennis.

'I tried my best to do the same things you do, but I think there will be other opportunities. I do.'

In an interview last week Serena said she was closely following her sister's progress, despite being at home in America.

'I feel like I'm there in a weird way. I feel like I've been there for the whole journey even though I'm not,' Serena said.

The champ said she talks and texts daily with Venus but they don't always talk about tennis.

Serena added that she's been hitting while pregnant to stay 'semi fit' while away from the game.

'I always tell my hitter ''I don't want to lose my touch. I don't want to lose my touch.'' So we got out, not too often, once a week maybe, that's it and hit a few balls,' Serena said. 'I don't want to lose my touch.'
