Shades of Gray: "What Price Victory?" by Effinger and Morrow
Greetings, Groove-ophiles! We're back with the penultimate chapter of Marvel's Gullivar Jones adaptation in the pages of Creatures on the Loose. Who'd've thunk that beneath that far-out Gil Kane cover lay the superior stylings of artist Gray Morrow? 'Tis true! Gray would draw the final two color GJ appearances in Creatures on the Loose: today's "What Price Victory?" from Creatures on the Loose #20 (August 1972) and ish 21's "Two Worlds to Win" (which Ol' Groove'll lay on ya in the near future!). As usual, our tale is written by sci-fi author George Alec Effinger. Just wait'll you dig the Flash Gordon vibe Gray Morrow gives ol' Gully!
