Mystery still surrounds the death of a man who was found stabbed on a Melbourne road last month, with police eager to speak to five men seen nearby.
The body of 36-year-old Patryk Bondar was found by a passer-by about 10pm on June 4 on Caravel Lane in Caroline Springs, in Melbourne's outer west.
A trail of blood was found leading to Caravel Lane through parkland, over a bridge, and along The Esplanade.

Police have released CCTV footage of five men who were near The Esplanade and arrived in two different cars.
The group of men, some in hooded jumpers, can be seen chatting and smoking cigarettes next to a parked BMW.
Police are hoping the men will come forward or the public will identify them as they may be able to help with the investigation.

'The man has apparently suffered a stab wound to his upper body,' Det Sen Sgt McIntyre said in June.
'We've conducted inquiries in the area and nobody's been able to give us any explanation as to how that man has got to the location we found him.'
