'We still have feelings for each other': Pregnant Cara De La Hoyde admits she rushed relationship with ex boyfriend Nathan Massey... as she brands Love Island winner Amber Davies 'fake'

Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies thrilled audiences as they won Love Island on Monday night. 

And Cara De La Hoyde appeared on Tuesday's episode of Lorraine to talk about the new winners, as well as her former flame Nathan Massey, who she won the ITV2 show with last year.

The circus performer, 26, who is currently expecting her first child with her ex, admitted that she still has 'feelings' for him but parted ways for their baby's best interests, while going on to give the new winners some sound advice.

Kem and Amber have been crowned this year's Love Island winners and last year's champion Cara De La Hoyd was on hand to offer some advice on Lorraine today.

Several months pregnant with fellow winner Nathan's baby, Cara was keen to show off her bump in a Zara crop top and matching red floral trousers.

Whilst a crop top may not be many pregnant women's first choice of maternity outfit, Cara is making it work for her by layering it over a white vest top.

They were firm fan favourites during their stint on the show. But while other couples, like best friend Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, went from strength to strength, for Cara the wheels soon came off and the couple decided to split.

And in light of the new winners, Cara reflected on her romance with Nathan - revealing they were still close and that they 'rushed their relationship.'

'Me and Nathan are still pals. He’s always checking up on me and we talk every day because I am 5 months pregnant now.'

'We’re having space rather that those couples that are always arguing. We don’t want our baby to read all of that in the future.'

She said of this year's Love Island winners: 'I had a feeling they were going to win, I love Kem but I’m not a fan of Amber, she seems a bit fake.

'From what I’ve seen of her, I don’t like her. I just feel like she made so many mistakes in the beginning and I can’t forgive it.' 

And Cara also drew on her failed romantic relationship with Nathan to give Kem and Amber some advice for life outside the villa.

'Enjoy it because the year goes by quickly and next May there will be another Love Island, another Kem and Amber. Don’t let anyone tell them what to do as a couple. It’s very pressurised. 

'If Nathan and me took our time we would have still been together. You’re in that house all the time and you don’t see the build-up but then when you come out everyone knows you. It’s overwhelming.

And while admitting that Monday night's finale was 'emotional' to watch, Cara insisted that the main reason she went on the show last year was because she 'didn’t want to pay rent for 6 weeks.'

Cara then elaborated: 'I thought I’m not your stereotypical blonde hair and blue eyed girl, I thought no one would go for me! Then Nathan came in and I thought he was the one!

When asked by Lorraine about her future plans, the brunette seemed chilled as she admitted: 'I’m excited to be a mum. I’m also in the process of wiring a book and keeping myself busy. I

'I'm in a fortunate position to enjoy being pregnant as I'm not in a 9 to 5 job.  

In a recent interview with MailOnline, Cara revealed that she's refusing to rule out a reunion with Nathan, insisting that anything is possible

Cara, who won the show last year with Nathan, said: 'Love Island was amazing, I met someone I'm really glad I met. Things aren't the way I planned but I'm really glad we're having this baby together.'

Cara admits that her busy life after winning the show and becoming famous took its toll on her relationship with Nathan.

Despite this she refused to rule out a reunion sometime down the road. 'That's not to say in time something couldn't happen ever,' she continued. 'With us if we were ever to get back together it would happen naturally - it would be over time and with the baby coming it's perfect as it is.'
