'The only woman in the world who has ever loved me unconditionally': RHOA star Kenya Moore mourns the loss of grandmother who raised her

She has been open about tension within her family on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.

And on Monday, Kenya Moore shared her grief with fans upon learning her paternal grandmother Doris Grant had passed away.

Kenya gave praise to the woman who raised her in her youth in an Instagram post with a series of sweet photos.

'Today I lost the only woman in the world who has ever loved me unconditionally,' she began the thoughtful post.

'My grandmother who raised me from 3 days old passed away,' she continued.

Kenya was given up by her mother Patricia three days after birth. On an episode of RHOA, Kenya's father Ronald explained Patricia gave up their daughter so Patricia could maintain a relationship with her own father.

Moore, 46, continued her post by calling Doris her 'best friend.'

'She finally lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease but her heart and spirit never failed her.'

One of the photos in the set showed Moore as she was crowned Miss USA in 1993 with her father and grandmother by her side.

During the season eight reunion of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, it was revealed that Patricia reached out to her daughter after she won the beauty pageant.

When a caller asked about a quote from Kenya in a 1993 People magazine article where she claimed her mother called to congratulate her, Moore clarified to host Andy Cohen, saying: ''No, that's untrue.'

'She called me because People had done an article about her. She called me to tell me not to speak to the press about her. She did not call to congratulate me.'

Moore has since found personal happiness, getting married in a surprise wedding on June 10 to businessman Marc Daly.

In her Monday post to Instagram, Moore revealed that her grandmother got to meet her new husband before she passed.

'Thank you Jehovah for allowing my last moment with her last month to be the last and for her to have met my loving husband.'

She continued: 'I truly believe she waited until she knew that I finally found someone to love and cherish me the way she did. She could not rest until she knew I would be taken care of by someone who deserved me.'

It has not been an easy week for Kenya, who was involved in a shouting match with RHOA co-star Kim Zolciak over the weekend.

Cameras were rolling as Kim 'charged' at Kenya after believing that Moore made a remark about her son Kash being mauled by a dog earlier this year, TMZ reported.

On Monday, the same day she shared the news about her grandmother's passing, she told Hello Beautiful of the melee: 'That’s a boldface lie. Her child was never mentioned.'

The fight, which happened at NeNe Leakes' Gurls And Gays white party over the weekend, sparked a tweet from Zolciak's 20-year-old daughter Brielle reading: 'kenya is a dumb ugly evil b****'.

'As an educator, former USA, I do not respond to ignorance from children,' Moore said to Hello Beautiful about Brielle's tweet.
