'You'll float too!' Pennywise the Clown haunts kids in second trailer for It... as director reveals second film plans

On Thursday, New Line Cinema released the second trailer for their big-screen remake of It, which debuted during last weekend's Comic-Con San Diego festivities.

The new two-minute teaser, featuring Bill Skarsgård as the titular Pennywise The Dancing Clown, includes much of the same footage as the one that dropped on March 29.

It revolves around a group of young outcasts (The Losers' Club) being haunted by an ancient subterranean evil, which commits massacres in the fictional Maine town Derry every three decades.

'When you're a kid, you think the universe revolves around you. You think that you'll always be protected and cared for,' Stan Uris (Wyatt Oleff) says in voiceover.

'Then one day, you realize that's not true because when you're alone as a kid the monsters see you as weaker. You don't even know they're getting closer until it's too late.'

At one point 'stuttering' Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher) has an eerie kitchen encounter with Pennywise and his missing younger brother Georgie, who repeats the phrase: 'Bill, if you come with me, you'll float too.'

Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard continues his eighties retro streak as bespectacled class-clown Richie Tozier, who winds up on a missing poster after two other ill-fated kids.

The creature feature also stars Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, Nicholas Hamilton, and Jackson Robert Scott.

'What happens when another Georgie goes missing?' Denbrough asks.

'Or one of us? Are you just going to pretend it isn't happening like everyone else in this town? If we stick together we'll win.'

It - hitting US/UK theaters September 8 - is based on Stephen King's 1986 novel, which was memorably made into a three-part ABC miniseries starring Tim Curry back in 1990.

'Andy Muschietti's remake of IT (actually it's Part 1--The Losers' Club) succeeds beyond my expectations,' the 69-year-old author tweeted back on March 7.

'Relax. Wait. And enjoy.'

The Argentine filmmaker reunited with several castmembers at the San Diego Convention Center last weekend.

Andrés - who took over for exiting director Cary Fukunaga in 2015 - has already revealed details about the planned second film.

'We'll probably have a script for the second part in January,' Muschietti told Variety on July 19.

'Ideally, we would start prep in March. Part one is only about the kids. Part two is about these characters 30 years later as adults, with flashbacks to 1989 when they were kids.'
