No surprise Made in Abyss is at the top. What was surprising was seeing the first episode for Restaurant in another world ranked lower than episode 2 and 3. really?

How the shite-fest that is Isekai Smartphone can have more viewers on MAL than the AOTS that is Made in Abyss is beyond my comprehension (other than the fact that one is on CR while the other is on AS/Hidive).

Was the reflection first episode really rated lower than any other first episode? I read the comment and saw that people weren't crazy for it, but I didn't think it'd go that low.
Considering smartphone is above it I guess little plot is below really bad plot in most people book. |

The top 10 cumulative is about what I expected. Made in Abyss deserves the top spot because it is head and shoulders the best new show. A Centaur's Life ranking that low is the only surprising thing to me; it is not a great anime, but it is intriguing and kind of interesting.

Jeez, I didn't realize till just now that almost everything I've started so far isn't being reviewed weekly for whatever reason(Tsuredure and NTR are shorts and Konbini Boyfriend and 18if are both hardly being watched at all.)
I do think 18if probably deserved a spot on this. Hopefully it gets review at the end. Episode 2 was definitely fascinating, even if it's follow up was a fairly unrelated and lesser vignette. This season I'm doing my "watch SOL and things I'm not sure about during the season, and then binge everything that I actually really wanted to see when the season is almost over". Maybe a bit non-sensical to some people, but it works for me. Really looking forward to Made in Abyss and Apocrypha, especially. |

Curiously, the abyss is also the zenith. An unbroken plateau on the graph, this season's Rakugo in such a respect. |

I'm surprised that Ballroom isn't doing well. I don't think it's the best in the season but I thought I would be top ten at least.
Of the carryovers from last season, I never thought Sakura Quest would be the newest addition to the top 5. It's a great show but I thought there were other ones that would have moved up there first (Re:creators is still just shy of the top 5, like last season). I'll definitely second 18if being worthwhile. The second was nice, but the third episode really sealed it for me personally. spoiler[Today's episode though makes me think some have unreasonable ideas about women's weight. The female lead of the episode is dumped because her boyfriend thinks she's not skinny enough but by any reasonable standard she looks to be in shape. Like to be skinnier, the women her boyfriend dumped her for would have to be anorexic. ] |

I think ballroom is okay but doesn't bring anything new to the genre. Its a pretty cookie cutter shounen sports show and the... interesting artistic direction probably hurt it with a lot of people as well. |

Nothing that isn't being legally simulcasted and weekly reviewed is going to be on this list. It's stated in the article. |

Definitely curious about this to the extreme. I have no idea what this "problematic" content apparently is, but I'm starting to get a tad overwhelmed by that terms usage these days and need something to just not give a f*ck, honestly. So anyway, I hope this dark content comes and is as intense as some people are making it out to be. {Edit: Please refrain from excessive quoting.. I edited your post for you. ~ Psycho 101} |

It's honestly getting real annoying with manga readers droning on repeat about it. Like it's some surprise that these kids are gonna have to get through some horrible situations on their way down. I ended up going through the material myself after the first episode and I'd honestly say to keep your expectations tempered. The source material doesn't hold back on it's punches, but having over hyped expectations going in may leave you wanting when they hit. {Edit: Please refrain from excessive quoting..
