Hitting the road! Kesha stretches her legs in hotpants after announcing first US jaunt in four years

She is getting ready to hit the road for the first time in almost five years.

And it looked like Kesha was getting in some much needed cardio ahead of what will surely be a physically demanding concert tour as she stretched her legs in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The pop beauty looked like she was having a great time as she went for a walk before heading for a pamper session at a salon.

The 30-year-old Tik Tok favourite looked in fine form indeed in a flattering pair of denim hotpants, which she twinned with a biker top, tartan shirt and flip flops.

Her outing came just a day after announcing her first US tour in four years.

The blonde stunner took to Instagram to share the happy news as she shared a promotional picture on Tuesday morning.

She captioned the image: 'ANIMALS!I'm going on tour! I would not have made it to this point without you so come out and join the celebration with me. Let's boogie!

Rainbow will be released on August 11, it includes the singles Woman and Learn to Let Go and lead track Praying.

Kesha says the latter helped her through a battle with depression.

She previously said of her track: 'Praying, my first single in almost four years, comes out today. I have channeled my feelings of severe hopelessness and depression, I've overcome obstacles, and I have found strength in myself even when it felt out of reach. I've found what I had thought was an unobtainable place of peace.

'This song is about coming to feel empathy for someone else even if they hurt you or scare you. It's a song about learning to be proud of the person you are even during low moments when you feel alone. It's also about hoping everyone, even someone who hurt you, can heal.'

Kesha filed a sexual assault civil suit against former producer Dr Luke in Los Angeles in October 2014 alleging he had drugged her with a 'sober pill' and raped her shortly after her 18th birthday in California and threatened to take away her publishing rights.

She then filed a preliminary injunction request that same month claiming her career had been on a hiatus and will be 'effectively over' if she is not allowed to resume recording with another producer and label.

Dr Luke says the singer made up that story in an attempt to ruin his reputation to try to weasel out of her recording contract.
