Puppy love! Nina Dobrev takes her certified emotional support dog Mrs Maverick on a walk in Los Angeles

Nina Dobrev was spotted walking her dog Mrs. Maverick in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 28-year-old actress walked her little pooch, who she said on Instagram in May is her 'doctor certified emotional support animal.'

Accompanied by friend Lane Cheek, the Vampire Diaries vet seemed to be enjoying a hot summer's day in LA.

Dobrev looked chic in a red sun dress covered in little white flowers as she walked around the neighborhood with Maverick.

The Degrassi actress added some height to her petite frame with a pair of silver and black platforms, which accentuated her long, tanned legs.

She let her short chocolate brown hair loose after tying it half way up in a top bun earlier in the afternoon.

Wearing retro-inspired dark sunglasses and a small silver necklace, Nina unpinned a few of the buttons on the neckline of her summer dress.

The Bulgarian-Candian actress carried her iPhone in one hand and a black backpack over her shoulders. 

She walked the half Border Collie, half Australian Shepard rescue puppy with her other free hand.

Nina Dobrev looked sensational as she was spotted out with her adorable dog in Los Angeles. The actress worked a stylish ensemble that consisted of a red floral shirt dress and wedge leather sandals.

She styled the look with a pair of black round acetate sunnies and a killer backpack from our favorite British purveyor, Burberry.

Lane was seen wearing barely-there white shorts and a long sleeved denim shirt with dark sunglasses. 

Dobrev's rescue dog Mrs. Maverick was born earlier this year and has amassed quite a following on Instagram. 

In May, Nina told her Instagram followers that the pooch was a 'doctor certified emotional support animal,' and thanked everyone for their 'concern.'
