She has been bizarrely blamed by fans for the demise of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' marriage.

And while the fan theory is based on conjecture, Jennifer Lawrence had an entirely different reason to scream in horror in the latest trailer for her collaboration with boyfriend Darren Aronosky. 

In mother! she plays a young woman whose life takes a nightmarish turn after the unexplained arrival of a mysterious couple to her house.  

The disturbing trailer captures Jennifer's life of domestic bliss descend into madness as the couple (played by Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer) make themselves at home, in a film directed by her older boyfriend.

The thrilling trailer also features a racy scene between Michelle and what looks to be Ed, as the actress is passionately kissed by her on-screen husband as she wears thigh-high lace stockings.  

The clip begins with Jennifer fixing up the old house she shares with her partner, played by Javier Bardem.

'We spend all our time here,' she tells Javier. 'I want to make it paradise.' 

The couple's life seems picture perfect after the renovations of their home are complete.

Things take a disturbing turn as Jennifer comes across blood-soaked walls and an old photo of Javier tucked away in Ed's luggage. 

After confronting Javier with the discovery of the photograph, he replies, 'What were you doing in their luggage?'

Javier seems to be more open to the idea of the couple's presence as he tells Jennifer one day with a smile: 'They've come here to see me.'

Meanwhile, Chris Pratt, 38, and Anna Faris, 40, reportedly split as they couldn't have more children due to the actor's hectic work schedule. 

The couple announced their separation on Sunday evening following eight years of marriage, with TMZ claiming that their different family values were to blame. 

A source told the site that Anna wanted to have more children, but Chris 'can't juggle a growing family with his career', which sees him shoot movies all over the world, leaving home for months at a time.  The couple share four-year-old son Jack, and were keen to stress in their split statement that they 'love him very much'.

The website reports that as well as Chris not wanting to have more children in the foreseeable future there are 'other personal reasons for the split, but the way they see family in the long-term was a big factor in their decision.'

Following the shock announcement Jennifer found herself in the middle of reports.

As the couple confirmed their separation, fans flocked to social media to bizarrely blame the actress, 26 - who starred in Passengers with Chris in 2016 - for the split.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: 'I can't believe Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are splitting up this is all Jennifer Lawrence's fault.'

Despite there being no suggestion Jennifer had any involvement in the split, another wrote: 'Jennifer Lawrence broke up Chris Pratt's marriage lol.'

Rumors swirled in 2016 that Chris and Jennifer had hooked up while filming their sci-fi disappointment Passengers.

Though the claims were strongly denied by all parties involved, Anna opened up about how the rumors affected her in an interview in December 2016.

'It made me feel incredibly insecure,' she told Isla Fisher on her own podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified. 

'Chris and I, we talk about this a lot,' she admitted. 'We grapple with a lot of the ideas of being a public couple.'

'I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me, because I didn't want to think of myself as somebody who could be affected by … tabloid s***.'

However, Jennifer has her own new budding romance to keep her busy.

It was first reported last October that Aronofsky and his leading lady, Jennifer, were in a relationship after meeting while filming the thriller. 

Jennifer - who at 26 is 21 years younger than the filmmaker - are still going strong as it's revealed he 'relaxes her.'

A source told The Sun late last year: 'Jennifer and Darren have tried to keep things low-key and under wraps but they are really into each other.

'Recently Jennifer was working on a gruelling project and she relied on Darren for support and they were in constant contact. It seemed to show they were the real deal.' 

The couple have remained pretty mum on their relationship, but were recently seen out together on a dinner date in Malibu.
