The Swedish royals were in danger of stealing the show as the dusted off their finery for a lavish society wedding in Spain this weekend.
Queen Silvia, 73, and her daughter Crown Princess Victoria, 40, both wore show-stopping gowns for the nuptials of Helena Christina Sommerlath and Ian Martin at Palma de Mallorca Cathedral on Saturday amid a heavy police presence on the Balearic isle.
Helena, Silvia's goddaughter and fraternal niece, is the daughter of Hans Jörg Sommerlath, who died from cancer in 2006.

The bride wore an elegant sleeveless dress with lace detail and a sweeping train, featuring lace detail and a glittering belt, before heading onto a nearby banquet for 100 guests.
Princess Victoria, Silvia's eldest daughter and heiress to the Swedish throne, wore a sweeping cream dress with an elaborate floral pattern, holding a fan to keep cool in the Spanish heat.
Silvia, meanwhile, opted for a glittering blue two-piece festooned with sequins and paired with a pearl necklace - prompting locals to cry 'guapa!' as she left the ceremony.
Royal-watchers noted that the septuagenarian's dress is an old favourite, with Silvia having worn it at the opening concert of the Bayreuth Festival in Germany in July.

ABS.es report that the ceremony lasted about an hour and was officiated by the representative of the German-speaking evangelical community in the Balearic Islands, Heike Stijohan.
Around 100 guests then travelled onto a second venue for a glittering banquet.
