She appeared on Fame Academy before reaching the final stages of The X Factor - twice.

But these days Carolynne Willey - formerly known as Poole - is loved-up with her cricketer husband David Willey and the pair are expecting their first child together.

The singer debuted her baby bump on the red carpet at the FriendsFest 2017 event at Heaton Park in Manchester on Tuesday night, flanked by her best friend Lucy-Jo Hudson.

Carolynne proudly showcased her blossoming bump in a black top, looking radiant in her casual attire.

The former reality star dressed her look down with a pair of ripped jeans and a leather jacket, styling her long locks in glossy waves.

Corrie star Lucy Jo, who was a bridesmaid at Carolynne's wedding last year, was seen protectively cradling her friend's bump.

Carolynne came third in BBC's Fame Academy in 2003 and also went far in the X Factor two years in a row.

In 2011 Carolynne, who was married to footballer David Poole from 2008-2011, made it through to the X Factor judges' houses stage, but was sent home.

The following year she progressed to the live shows but was sent home in a controversial deadlock that saw Rylan Clark remain in the singing show.

Carolynne married Yorkshire County Cricket Club player David Willey in an intimate ceremony in Leeds last year.

Talking about seeing his bride in the church, David told Hello!: 'I was blown away. I was just an emotional wreck. She looked stunning. It was the best day of my life.'

Carolynne wore a gown style 11427 from Ellis Bridals and close pal Coronation Street actress Lucy-Jo Hudson was her bridesmaid.

'It was perfect. When I got to the end of the aisle, I was so happy to see David,' she told Hello!.

The singer said she knew immediately that David was 'the one'.

She admitted: 'Meeting David, it was like suddenly the missing piece of me was found.

'We'd not long been dating and it was my birthday, so he'd taken me out for a meal and bought me some flowers. I remember feeling as if I'd known him forever.'

The wedding reception was held at Wood Hall Hotel and Spa in Wetherby, and guests included Lucy Jo's husband, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson.
