A morbidly obese mother-of-three has opened up about what led her to embark on a journey to losing half her body weight.
Queensland hairdresser Amy Morrow, 31, weighed 150 kilos at her heaviest - having tried and failed to stick to 20 different types of diet.
'Name a diet and I did it,' Amy told Daily Mail Australia. 'Cabbage soup, herbal pills, green coffee pills...'
'On every one, I'd lose a bit of weight and then I would put it all back on - plus some.'

Amy explained that she had struggled with her weight all her life and after a divorce became a single mum to two children, Ava, now 11, and Jet-ray, eight.
Her situation, she said, left her feeling 'depressed' and going through a 'rollercoaster of emotions'.
'I didn't put my health first,' the yo-yo dieter admitted - explaining that it wasn't until she met her now-husband Jason and welcomed another little boy, Nash, now three, that she found the courage to act.
'I thought "I've got to do something about my weight",' Amy explained. 'I wanted to be able to take my children to Dreamworld but I was too big for the rides.'

Previously, Amy was a 'hot chip sandwich addict' (left) and would eat five takeaways a week at least. She has now overhauled her diet and exercise regime (right)
Amy said that she had wanted to enjoy a water slide ride with her kids and two friends but had ended up having to Google the weight limit, which she found 'embarrassing'.
'I was so tired and I didn't even want to do hairdressing any more,' she added.
At the time, Amy was a sell-confessed 'hot chip sandwich addict'.
'I got a taste for them as a kid,' Amy said, explaining she had a weakness for carbs.
Amy's breasts have reduced from a size 20F to a more modest 12C in the process - and she does admit she 'misses' them
'I was a soft drink junkie. Every morning I would go to the 7Eleven and I would get a big iced coffee and a can of Coke to drink,' Amy said of her habits before her transformation
'I was also having takeaway five times a week,' she said. 'When I was on my own I used to eat a lot of takeaway because I wasn't cooking.

Amy - who is 168cm tall - said it was seeing the weightloss transformation of a Facebook friend that spurred her into action.
She was also approaching her 30th birthday at the time - which made her re-evaluate things.

Amy looked into the option of using her superannuation for pay for a gastric sleeve, having failed to stick to fad diets in the past
Having had no success with diets in the past, Amy began looking into the option of using her superannuation to pay for a gastric sleeve.
'If you are that overweight that you're classed as morbidly obese and it's a life-threatening situation, you can release your super,' Amy explained - adding that it is a process that needs to be verified by a doctor.
She used virtually all her superannuation savings to pay AUD$14,000 for the weightloss surgery.

Amy said that thoughts of dying on the operating table and leaving her children without a mother went through her mind
Prior to her surgery, Amy started working with a personal trainer and lost 26 kilos through changes to her diet and exercise regime
'I didn't have much super because I was a single mum and working for myself,' she said.
'It was all I had. I've got about $1,000 left in there. I was nervous about it.'
She added that thoughts of dying on the operating table and leaving her children without a mother went through her mind.
But prior to her surgery, Amy started working with a personal trainer and lost 26 kilos through changes to her diet and exercise regime alone.
Amy said her husband Jason 'loves me no matter what' has been a huge support during her transformation
She went to Crossfit sessions two or three times a week and started adding incidental exercise to her day - by walking to work and taking the stairs instead of the escalator.
Amy explained she wanted to change her mindset prior to surgery so she would cope better afterwards but, even so, adjusting has been difficult.
'[Surgery] changes you for the rest of your life,' she said candidly.
'But your brain does not change. I would still eat a whole pizza if I could.'

Now, Amy mainly sticks to a protein based diet and keeps herself accountable by documenting her journey on Instagram.
She was 140 kilos when she underwent the gastric sleeve and has lost 66 kilos in 11 months, taking her to a svelte 74 kilos.
Continuing her commitment to exercise, Amy can now play with her kids - just as she had longed to do.

Amy said that people do treat her differently now she is slim and that her children did not even know she could run previously
'My children did not even know I could run,' Amy said, explaining that some people have not recognised her since her transformation.
'It's really interesting how weight can change everything,' she said.
'I think people do treat you differently when you're smaller.'
Amy said that she hasn't had a sip of Coke since September 2016 and has now ditched her addiction to hot chip sandwiches for good.
Her extreme weightloss has seen her breasts shrink from a size 20F to a 12C, something she admitted she has struggled with.
'Always being a bigger-breasted girl, that's where my confidence came from,' Amy explained.
'Now I've lost them, I do miss them.'

She is currently saving for surgery to remove her excess skin and reconstruct her chest
Amy said she now feels the happiest she has ever felt - after re-evaluating her life as she reached her 30th birthday.
She added that she is currently saving for surgery to remove her excess skin and reconstruct her chest.
'My breasts are that saggy, the surgeon said he would have to move my nipples 13cm,' she explained.
'I'd need a breast lift first and then an operation two or three months later to get implants.'
Despite this, Amy has no regrets and said her husband Jason, who 'loves me no matter what' has been a huge support.
'I feel the happiest I've ever felt,' she said.
Amy has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for her excess skin removal and breast reconstruction. To donate click here
