'I'd never date you, you're too big for me': Chloe Grace Moretz reveals she was FAT SHAMED at the age of just 15 by a male co-star 10 years her senior

Chloe Grace Moretz has revealed she was fat-shamed by a male co-star 10 years her senior when she was just 15.

The actress, 20 - who declined to name the actor in question - said her screen love interest told her he would never be romantically attracted to her in real life because she was 'too big' for him.

Appearing on the cover of Variety's Power of Young Hollywood Issue, Chloe explained: 'This guy that was my love interest was like, "I’d never date you in real life," and I was like, "What?"

'And he was like, "Yeah, you’re too big for me" — as in my size. It was one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set.'

'It just makes you realize that there are some really bad people out there, and for some reason, he felt the need to say that to me.'

Chloe did reveal that the co-star was in his mid-twenties at the time of the comment, but no other clues were given and Moretz worked on several films in that time span, which makes it difficult to pinpoint the culprit.

The former child star also discussed the gender pay gap in Hollywood, insisting she has felt the need to 'take a backseat' as a female actor.

Call it a night like Chloe in a pyjama shirt from Topshop

The fashion world has been going bananas for pyjamas recently, but if matchy matchy tops and trousers are a little too OTT for you, then take your cue from Chloe Moretz.

She showed us how to subtly embrace the trend when she was pictured out and about in LA wearing a shirt, which is from none other Topshop. She might have designer labels like Coach, Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen in her wardrobe, but she's a high street gal at heart!

From Topshop's luxury Boutique line, it's 100% silk, plus we love the pretty floral print. Unfortunately it has now sold out, but the good news is we've found plenty of PJ tops to help you master the sleepy chic look.

Boohoo and Joanie have got some very affordable options, or splash out on this shirt by Weekend Max Mara.

Chloe added: 'Even if you’re being paid equally, it’s the little things, especially if the male lead is bigger than you. You aren’t listened to as much, and you take a backseat.

'[I once missed out on a part] because I’m blonde and there’s another blonde in the movie, you can’t cast me? That’s such a masculine way of looking at things.'

The Carrie star also opened up about her nasty feud with Kim Kardashian, which began when Moretz made comments about the reality star's nude selfies.

In response to a censored nude mirror pic Kim posted in March of 2016, Chloe tweeted: 'I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.'

Kim retaliated by tweeting: 'let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo.'

Kardashian was referring to the January 2016 cover of Nylon magazine where Moretz looks to be nude, only covered by a jacket.

Of the incident, Chloe now says, 'It's sad for her to reach out like that to a young woman. There’s a lot of woman-on-woman hate.'

She has not interacted with Kardashian since the online war of words.

Chloe added of facing bullying at the hands of social media trolls: 'A lot of mean photos have been made of me with Photoshop, and people have done really nasty memes about me, and just so they know, I’ve seen them all and I don’t find them funny and I don’t find them cute.

'That’s not cool. It’s bullying. And it hurts. I’m not going to deny that.'

Actress Zendaya Coleman, 20, also appeared on another cover of Variety's Power Of Young Hollywood issue, hot off of her co-starring role in Spider-Man: Homecoming with Tom Holland.

The young stars of the movie were linked to each other in a recent report that says they had been dating for over a year, a claim that they both deny.

When asked by Variety if there was a romance between the two, she firmly replied with a no.

She added: 'He’s a great dude. He’s literally one of my best friends. This past how many months we’ve had to do press tours together. There’s very few people that will understand what that’s like at 20 years old.'

The pair were caught by a photographer driving around Los Angeles after the Spider-Man press tour, adding fuel to the dating speculation.

Zendaya chose to Snapchat the paparazzi chasing them instead of trying to hide anything.

She told Variety: 'This guy was being super dangerous, driving through a busy intersection, doing a U-turn, driving on the side of the freeway to catch up to us — the side where you’re not supposed to drive because there’s no lane.

'I was like, "This is nuts."'

Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega landed the third of three collectors covers of the issue.

The 25-year-old actor opened up about the franchise's icon Carrie Fisher, saying: 'She influenced people to be authentic and say what you want, however you want. I’ll miss her energy.

'You were always going to hear Carrie Fisher somewhere saying something that she has no business saying, that makes everybody laugh.'

The star also discussed the issue of race in Hollywood, explaining he was treated differently to co-stars Daisy Ridley and Oscar Issac while promoting Star Wars.

He added to Variety: 'When I was exposed to the world in Star Wars, I also was exposed to the reality of ignorance that still exists around the world.

'When I was in Star Wars there was a semi-kind of racial discussion that was quite negative when it first came out.

'I was the only person to always talk about the color of my skin. In every interview my skin color comes up. If Daisy does an interview, her skin color is not going to come up. ...

'It doesn’t matter what position you’re in, — once you’re black, you’re black, and these idiots always have something to say about it.'
