Fans got their first full look at Josh Brolin's Deadpool 2 character on Instagram Monday.

And just hours later the action man was seen for the first time on set.

The 49-year-old actor was pictured on the Vancouver, Canada set of Deadpool 2 on Monday.

He looked absolutely ripped while in his superhero garb for the exciting day of filming as Cable AKA Nathan Summers.

Josh was not the only one wearing the costume of the mutant member of the X-Men as his stunt double was also pictured on set.

A stuntwoman for co-star Zazie Beetz was also seen rocking her post-apocalyptic clothing as the character Domino.

Earlier in the day the Marvel film's leading man Ryan Reynolds got the honor of revealing the cantankerous Cable, 'a time travelling soldier' with a glowing eye and scar strewn face.

The husband of Blake Lively captioned the shot of his on-screen antagonist with Wade Wilson's typical snark, writing 'We all have that one, grumpy, heavily armed Uncle from the future,' and the cheeky tags '#PremiumCable #MaximumA**hole.'

Brolin, 50, looks nearly unrecognizable in his crime fighting get-up, showing lean-as-can-be face while shushing audiences with a single finger.

Another shot posted by the actor himself showed a fully armed Cable resting a hearty firearm over his shoulder while flaunting a bionic arm and chest strapped with artillery.

Curiously, the tough-as-nails character also keeps a teddy bear at his side.
