Beat-ing them all! Calvin Harris edges out The Chainsmokers and Tiesto to top Forbes' list of highest paid DJs... for the fifth year in a row
Calvin Harris ruled Forbes' annual list of electronic cash kings on Tuesday as he was named the highest paid DJ for the fifth consecutive year.
The How Deep Is Your Love DJ, 33, brought in $48.5 million between June 2016 and June 2017, outpacing fellow DJs Tiesto and newcomers The Chainsmokers.
The Scottish beatmaker's earnings came from a combination of residencies in Las Vegas and festival performances as well as from producing pop hits such as his latest summer track, Feels with Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams.

Tiesto, who topped the list in 2012, earned $39million and came in at No. 2.
The Chainsmokers earned $38million, bolstered by the chart-topping success of pop hits Closer with Halsey and Something Just Like This with Coldplay.
The list also includes veteran French DJ David Guetta and German producer Zedd.

Some have commented on how the list highlights a lack of diversity in the DJ field, whose 10 highest earners were male and mostly white, from the United States or Europe.
Forbes said it compiles its annual earnings list from data gathered from Nielsen and touring trackers such as Pollstar and Bandsintown, as well as industry insiders and artists.
In addition to a flourishing career, it looks like Calvin has also been lucky in love, reportedly reuniting with former flame Aarika Wolf a whole two years after splitting from the model around the time he became involved with pop songstress Taylor Swift.

According to reports, things are back on between the pair, with Aarika even flying out to Las Vegas in June to watch Calvin perform as part of his residency at Omnia.
A source has claimed to The Sun that things are 'getting serious', as they detailed their recent reunion to the paper.
'Aarika flew out to see Calvin DJ at his Vegas residency... She was in the DJ booth and gazing at him all night,' they said, adding that the duo had left together at the end of the evening.
Back on? The Scot is reportedly dating his ex-girlfriend Aarika Wolf again, with the model flying out to reunite with him in Las Vegas in June. Above the pair are seen in 2014
