Mike (Patrick J. Adams) had been secretly working on a pro bono wrongful death suit - without telling Rachel or his boss Harvey (Gabriel Macht).

Mike had previously signed a written agreement with Harvey, promising not to continue the case.

‘Where are you going…there’s no way you have something for Harvey this early,’ questioned Rachel.

Mike gave her a partial truth, but she grew suspicious.

‘I was hoping we could have dinner tonight,’ she said, but Mike declined the offer, in favor of work.

Mike later rolled in late and Rachel suggested that he’d been lax with his work for the Pearson Specter Litt Law firm lately.

‘You said yourself, he was nice enough to make this deal in the first place so maybe it’s time to remember that,’ she told him.

Adding: ‘He brought you back for a reason…so that when he does need you, you’ll be there,’ she reminded him.

But it wasn't long before Rachel uncovered her Mike's deceitful ways, with the beauty going on to confront her fiance at the end of the episode.

‘I wasn’t lying about working a case with Oliver, I just didn’t tell you which one,’ he admitted.

‘The prison one,’ she guessed immediately. ‘You signed an agreement, this is a fireable offense.'

But Mike assured his girlfriend that it wouldn't come to that, protesting: 'He's not going to fire me.'

'Who knows what will happen when they’re watching a sensational African sunset together? Maybe he’ll get down on one knee.

'Harry’s done a lot of conservation work in Africa with endangered elephants and black rhinos and he’ll show them to the woman he wants to marry.'

‘I don’t want to have to worry about you sticking your nose into a case that you think you can handle better than me,’ raged Louis, before Harvey promised he would no longer interfere.
